LTT Conglomerate main discussion thread

How well do you guys think that the Avenger would do as a transport/smuggler ship?

You could, but it's more of a mercenary ship. You would be much better off getting a freelancer.

Good, because it has 10 tons of storage and can go fast.

I might get it in a week or 2 :).

You can't even fly it yet though!

I really want the starfarer... Now I see how much of a money trap Star Citizen is....

As a Mercenary/Bounty Hunter would a 325A be a good craft?

Nowhere to put your bounty if that means people...

Doesn't it have a cargo of like 8 Tons? I'm sure you can tie people up and throw them in there xD. If that doesn't work I can form a pack of Bounty Hunters consisting of attackers and transport ships. We'd be called "The Janitors" or "The Cleanup Crew"

If you want to be a bounty hunter then the Avenger is your best bet, you can store up to 4 people in it.

If you have a friend in a cutlass then you would have a great prisoner ship

Avenger vs. 300i

More speed vs. More maneuverability
Large main gun vs. Aim-assisted main gun
Slightly more cargo vs. slightly more upgrades
Same power.
Same shields.
Same crew.
Same bed.

The two ships are pretty balanced, so the choice of either depends on play style and aesthetics. The Avenger is more of an interceptor, while the 300-series are more dogfighters.
Looks like the Avenger is a better for me! More speed AND better damage. How much does it cost in $?

Including the game, it's $75.

I need to choose between the Cutlass and the Freelancer. I think the freelancer is better for me.

My goal is the Starfarer, I just wish I had some friends who are into PC gaming, it would be great so split a Starfarer with them.

I'm interested in joining but I'd like a "little bit" more info.

Could you explain the difference between exploration and mining? Because I don't find that exploration/salvaging and mining are so different from each other that require different groups.

Won't a piracy group set the tone for an entire clan? If the piracy group attacks another clan then chances are we'll get a bounty and every, mainly the traders, miners or explorers, will have a bigger target on their head. In any other game if the scout/military group attacks someone in another clan then that would mean an open war and in SC it will be no different. Either no one is a pirate or everyone is a pirate.

What does the engineering group do?

I didn't understand the purpose of the military group. Is it a separate group or will every member be in the military group? Will there be members who belong exclusively to the military group? How will the military group make money?

Will the military group be escorting the traders/miners/explorers?

Atm there's only two people on the high council, how many are you planning on having? What "fiscal" benefits do people on the high council get? Is it any different from any regular member's? Also, will you two belong to another group?

You said that the leaders of the groups would be elected. What about the high council? If a better leader is found would you be willing to step down?

What is your aim with this organization? How big do you want it to grow? What is your target demographic? Is there an age limit? Will it consist of people from LTT or is anyone welcome?

How casual will this organization be? Will it require a minimum activity?

What is your experience running guilds/clans/organizations in other MMOs? Do you have any experience in closer to sand-box games where there's open PvP and anyone can kill anyone?

Is the organization really be called "The Unofficial LTT Conglomerate" or is that name just temporary? If so, what are the names you're currently thinking of?

I can probably get a 500 slot TS3 server for about 20€ a year or so (hosted on a VPN). I own 32 slot one for friends and friends of friends and if you need more than 32 you'll need a license, which is free for non-profit organizations such as a clan or guild. However, this is not possible if there's an affiliation with a for-profit organization such as LTT.

Awesome, it's cheaper than the 325A too!

Freelancer sounds better for you! My friend, @xrex64 isn't really sold on the Star Citizen concept :P. It's a real shame.

You're kidding me? I'm completely sold. Just not going to pay over 60 at the moment.

Holy moly, that's alot of questions...

If you want to have a chance of getting any answered, you should proberly break it up a bit make it easier to read, and clearify what is most important for you to know.. If you want, we can have a chat in the org chat if you pledged.. (Don't even know if you HAVE to pledge to do that actually :S)

Everyone have a cool signature. I don't, so I thought I would write something.

- Cool right?

I don't see a need to break them up, I think everyone here can read one line at a time. If there's more than one question per line then they're directly related or one will answer the other. A lot of those questions are yes and no questions.

I guess I can join the org now, cya in a bit.
