Anyone else sick if no region lock in Dota 2

I miss region lock from past games like Warcraft 3 and League of Legends. Dota 2 is riddled with non north american people not working together. I am sure everyone else is hating on north americans as well.  Why can't this game be region locked. The most annoying thing is getting a kid from Turkey spaming the mic and I have no idea what he is saying. Team work is also very hard. 

 

Valves version of region lock doesn't really work. They have a system where anyone can select as many servers as they want. For instance I could select the american servers and also the europe west and east and also asia. 

 

I hope heroes of the storm has region lock!

Try having two idiots with 200ping from Australia infiltrate your west coast Battlefield 4 server using Aek's. Yeaaaaaaaaaa. 

 

Still, it's good that it exists. I have friends in europe and asia and it's helpful to be able to play with them.

I hate region lock, but i hate lag as well. "sigh" it still bothers me that after so many years they still have no solution to this.

As for DOTA, is there no Matchmaking option that lets you only search within a region? i know some other games have this and its damn helpful

#Doto problems. Find friends who are decent in the games you play, add them and always try for a 5 man stack. It's the best solution to this issue. I haven't found a BR in a while though...

I'm glad there is no region lock in Dota 2.

For the South American people, like me, there is not currently a server. America has 2 servers on the US, and one in Brazil.

If you have the Dota 2 client in English, the Brazilian server will show up as "South America". But don't get fooled, if you have the game client on any other language it will show up as Brazil.

This server is full with Brazilians (as expected), this people, luckily speaks another language other than Portuguese, and have their ways community wise... (any Brazilian here can confirm this).

For players like me, who can speak English, has a decent connection (around 150ms with US West Cost) and enjoys a good teamplay, there is no other choice than going to the US servers.
