Are these cable mod RGB strips compatible?

MrChemistryCow9

I want to buy some Cablemod Addressable RGB strips but I don't have a 3-pin addressable RGB header on my motherboard. I see that Cablemod says I either need Asus or Gigabyte RGB header or a Cablemod Addressable RGB header. I found a RGB controller but I don't know if it will work. A USB RGB controller would work too. Here is the RGB strip: https://store.cablemod.com/product/cablemod-addressable-led-strip-rgb/ and here's the Cablemod controller: https://store.cablemod.com/product/cablemod-rgb-led-controller/ Thanks in advance for helping me with this

Those two systems are not compatible, the only lights that will work with that controller is regular 4 pin RGB based LED's not the 3 pin addressable type.

That isn't an addressable LED controller. From what I can tell they don't actually sell a controller that works with addressable LEDs, which seems like a bit of an oversight.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Do you know where the controller would be? They list it in the website.

They don't come with a remote based options for 3 pin addressable LED's, they are designed for motherboard's that have a software option for control. Options that have software controlled lights would be ones like NZXT Hue+ and Corsair's lighting node pro.

@MrChemistryCow9 we don't have our addressable controller launched yet. We launched the strips in advance because you can still use them if you have a compatible header, but the controller is still in the works.

Not going to be able to get get a controller for independent addressable rgb leds.

It's all software based.

I say get the PH-DRGB_SKT from phanteks. It has a basic controller with many lighting features and once you upgrade your mobo you can plug into the rgb header and control it via software.

The kit solid ive been happy with the one bought

Is there an estimated price for it when it comes out?
