Taran video, instant like, favorite, subscribe. +1

I've been looking into something like this for a while. Didn't know the Razer Cynosa (and probably other Razer Synpanse enabled keyboards) could do the same work as the Corsair iCUE2 enabled boards can.

Definitely both interesting option in making a macropad.

been looking into some Arduino full custom board too.

Since I had an old Razer Blackwidow Chroma keyboard, I modified Taran's code to fit the extra keys and saved that to a profile. I made a Git repository so I could share it and save people from going through the pain of assigning each of the keys to their appropriate macros.

Here is the Github Repo:

Can the USB to USB converter be used as shown on the video on a Linux system? Also, I was wondering if a Martian Keyboard would work with this?

Just contact HASU here:

To place an order email me to let me know which converter you want and your email address. I'll send you Paypal invoice soon.

My email is: hasu@tmk-kbd.com

I got 4 converters in Germany no problem.

The HASU Converter mimics an USB keyboard, if linux can handle an USB keyboard (99,99999% I believe yes) it should be fine. The problem is to find something like autohotkey for linux.

I don't know if it was a smart move, but I posted a solution to a problem in a GitHub issue:

https://github.com/TaranVH/2nd-keyboard/issues/89

I am happy to report that HASU himself worked on the nasty reboot plug-unplug issue with me. He is a brilliant guy and it looks like he solved the problem at least in the TMK software:

https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=69169.msg2769800#msg2769800

now it's time to test how reliable this solution will be in long term, but it looks good.

I keep you posted when I will port the fix in QMK or I will be able to do the remapping and the F24 wrap in TMK.

If anyone can help please join... thanks

Stay tuned.

the final .hex to be flashed to the HASU converter. Just download the attachments from that posts.

I made the F24, F23 and F22 wrap without modifier .hex file fully compatible with the TaranVH .ahk

No more unplug and replug the keyboard or HASU converter after the PC startup!

Thanks again to HASU and Taran to make this happen, if someone can let Taran know I think he will be happy.

Hot damn.  I came here hoping there was a solution to the replug problem.  Thanks!

Just confirmed that Zucca's hex file fixed the unplug / replug problem.  All I had to do was flash his F24 file (F24_Zuk_Hasu.hex) to the Hasu and it is working perfectly with Taran's ahk setup.  That's awesome, thank you!!

I'm using this on the work laptop that I take home every day.  The replug issue was driving me crazy.  Now I'm going to get a 2nd Hasu & keyboard so both locations have mirrored setups.

Hello Zucca,can you make a F21.hex file,I really need it,because I'm also a video editor,thanks.

Well, since Taran did not provide a F21.hex, I am assuming you can compile yourself a F21.hex easily.

Just follow the instruction in the post where you can find the other .hex files:

I built this touchscreen keyboard using Visual Studio and Visual Basic. I actually modified a keyboard from a CS course. I programmed some word macros to do my math home work. I think I am going to take the usb thingy and program a hex translator into an raspberry with a touchscreen and just build some kind of macro touchscreen of doom for it. it is to bad math symbols never got the ascii treatment, then i could really build something more clean. thanks for the video.

At this moment, as an END USER,

i found mediachance's Multi Keyboard Macos is a killer for this requirement.

It cost USD 30 thru.

If 3 are buying, only around USD20 for each.

and only 10USD if 10s are buying...

I have to create an account to teach you people this thing.

ridiculous.

Just in case anyone is as stupid as me...

In case you want to use more than ONE keyboard at a time, you have to use a DIFFERENT hex-files for each keyboard, e.g. the F24 hex file for the first keyboard and the F23 hex file for the second keyboard.

It feels silly to point that out, but some people like me did not get that :D

Sharing in case this free method works for someone else. 88/104 keys mappable on generic 104s. Software prefix every mappable key on additional keyboards with F13-F24. Detect the function key prefix with Auto hotkey.

Uses HIDmacros and AHK

Here are setup config files for HIDmacros for 1, 2, or 3 keyboards and associated AHK templates.

I AM GOING CRAZY.

Not to bump an old video, but I've been trying all day to get this to work for me to no avail. First it was issues with the QMK repository (I can only assume it just due to updates over the years.). The instructions on Taran's GitHub seem to not be accurately up to date by now. I figured the instructions were trying to get me to install QMK WSL so I did that, but only after did I realize I didn't need to. QMK WSL is super easy to set up but I had already set up Ubuntu with WSL AND imported the QMK repository so the benefits of the QMK WSL kinda didn't apply to me (At least I think? Maybe that's what I'm missing to make this work?). I'm not using the HASU but I assumed the AutoHotkey script would work with my already QMK compatible macro pad.

I feel like I'm missing something very important here, but I'm not seeing it. If anyone has some advice on where to start looking to figure this out I would be extremely grateful and if I'm breaking any kind of rule here let me know and I can remove this (or mods can just remove this I'm not picky :>)

xoxo thanks!
