Best looking/acting video game water?

My brother is playing Assassin's Creed black flag and he's on the high seas and he tells me the water in this game is the best he's ever seen. I've seen way better water, including some minecraft mods. What game do you think has the best looking water?

Well the BF4 water looks / acts pretty cool especially on Paracel storm when the storm kicks in!

The Division beats all other games, Game comes out in 2015 though.

I really liked the way the water looked in Assassin's Creed 2 in Venice. Especially during the Carnivale sequences. It wasn't really realistic though.

AC 4 water acts pretty real, doesn't look too good, though.

Not exactly water but the simulated liquids in borderlands 2 is the best liquid simulation ever

I vote crysis. Even crysis running cry engine 1 was pretty amazing. But crysis 3 was amazing. Its a great game engine!

I thought the water was pretty bad in BF4. It is so scripted and it does not dynamically react to you doing stuff to it other than small explosions and flying a jet near the water.

Yeah that's also true but it is better than CoD :P

Crysis 3 water is probably the best in my mind.

 

But on a side issue with water, I hate it when in a first person shooter all you want to do is jump in a puddle, you look down and you have no feet.

modded skyrim water. Best i have ever seen.

AC4 and FarCry 3. In most of the games mentioned here the water is completely static and looks stupid. Skyrim was pretty impressive though.

AC4's water looks incredible, by far the most realistic (at least when it comes to surface) real time rendering I've come across. As for best "acting" water... Nvidias latest PhysX demo (true it might not be a game, but the technology is there to be implemented).  :)

This game is going to be HUGE! I'm tipping bigger than Battlefield 4 or Call Of Duty. Hope we see it though.

 

So is it weird that I really am not at all excited for it? It just looks like a super HD MMO to me which does not really excite me.
