Everybody wanted a Meshify R6/Meshify Sequal, so Fractal decided to meshify the S2 (imo S2 > R6 bc USB-C)

This helps because now you can have a 420mm top rad with no ram blockage compared to the 240mm top ram on the meshify C, and a 360mm front Monsta Rad in the front for bigger custom loops and with greater airflow than the S2/R6.

I wish they would make a C2, aka a Meshify C, but 10mm taller for better top rad support, and 10mm longer for thicker front rads.

Was there ever a Meshify s1? This looks great, I have the Meshify C TG and this fixes a few of my complaints with it such as front panel USB-C as well as drive mounting spots.

Now I just want to know the price.

130-140$ I think, should be the same as the S2

There was never a Meshify S.

Another great preforming but meh looking case from fractal design. Imo the meshey line is their best looking cases, but nothing special.

its all personal opinion, I'm not a fan of RGB so fractal design is perfect for me.

"The only things we think may be new are the reservoir brackets and the cleaning cloth, but they may have come with the Define S2, we cannot confirm it with specifications and site information. Our rule of thumb has always been that to ask $150 in the mid-tower segment; you have to deliver a chassis with every bell and whistle, up to the standards of the day. At $149.99, the Meshify S2 delivered in spades"

I liked the design of the first Meshify C. Will be on the lookout for Hardware Cannuck's review

You can bark like a dog, but that won't make you a dog.

You can act like someone you're not, but that won't change who you are.

Finished Crysis without a discrete GPU,15 FPS average, and a lot of heart

How I plan my builds -

Spoiler

For me I start with the "There's no way I'm not gonna spend $1,000 on a system."

Followed by the "Wow I need to buy the OS for a $100!?"

Then "Let's start with the 'best budget GPU' and 'best budget CPU' that actually fits what I think is my budget."

Realizing my budget is a lot less, I work my way to "I think these new games will run on a cheap ass CPU."

Then end with "The new parts launching next year is probably gonna be better and faster for the same price so I'll just buy next year."

R6 has had SKU's for a few months now that include USB-C out of the box

You still have RAM blockage. The max height your RAM/motherboard heatsinks can be is can be is 35mm, so only Low Profile RAM will work.

Top radiator

- 120/240/360 mm

- 140/280/420 mm (max 35 mm motherboard component height)

Pro M TG. What you just described is basically the Phanteks Enthoo Pro M TG.

An interesting note is Fractal Design is known for their black cases with white accents, but the Meshify S2 comes with no white accents.

The Define R6 does have a USB-C version...

I love my R6.  The HDD storage is amazing.  I wish it had a better front end.  A meshify panel for the R6 would be amazing.

If I ever get around to redoing my NAS I'll swap cases.

but it costs 20$ more for the usb-c so usb r6 is 20$ more expensive than usb c s2.

cheapest S2 w/ TG + USB C vs cheapest R6 w/ TG + USB C

That depends on the day and the model you're buying

https://pcpartpicker.com/products/case/#m=106&sort=price&X=10585,123700&t=3

For example, right now the Black TG S2 is on sale right now for $110 but the rest are $150, which are the same as the R6 USB-C

no, those are non-TG variants:

https://pcpartpicker.com/products/case/#m=106&sort=price&X=10585,123700&t=3&s=1

all of the S2s are cheaper (except the meshifies) than the R6 Tempered glass + USB-C
