i don't care. i wanted an iPhone because i hate Android and my iPhone 7 is more than fast enough for me. 

 

also good luck using your more powerful phone with all the awfully optimized android apps.

ios skins exist, you can root them, there is quite a big difference in speed between them and mine was actually cheaper. your turn

i assume that by mi 8  you're talkinng about the Xiaomi Mi 8. and you said it compared to an iPhone X?

yeah... cpu wise it's a bit behind. but it costs litterally half the price of a iphone x. look up my review, there you can see my very own scores

so in real world speed it is a lot slower because you are basically never using the gpu unless you are playing games.

Hate tp be the bearer of bad news, but any Android flagship from the past few years, plus some mid rangers, are just as fast and fluid.

Can we stop the platform wars for a second to discuss the story at hand?

 

I can see Apple launching a new iPod touch if it thinks there's even a modest audience for it.  It could be a simple maintenance update that adds a faster processor, more storage and Touch ID (really not expecting Face ID here), but that'd be enough.
