Good. They should not be promoting that kind of crap. Outsourcing your homework is disgusting and will not get you far in life at all. If I had to write a report for work and paid someone to do it for me, then claimed it as my own, I would probably be fired..

Well, if it just means that it screws the person who's cheating, then let them cheat -- and let them take responsibility for their actions when they don't know how to do things. Unfortunately, it's not quite that simple. By cheating you potentially put yourself ahead of someone who didn't cheat and so you could end up with the job that the other person should have gotten instead (although, in a lot of fields -- especially more technical ones with good interview questions -- cheating doesn't help you since you'll sound like an idiot in the interview.

And just as a side note, the work for my gen-ed courses was completely irrelevant to everything in life, so cheating in any of those subjects wouldn't affect my future life in any way, shape, or form (although the gen-eds are usually stupidly easy and aren't even worth the effort required to cheat).

Good.

I dont see why, they better pass with how many people get college that other people are forced to pay for.

I dont even think half of the college students in the u.s. can finish a full book. The bar is already to low, so they might as well pass.it doesnt effect their final education.

Well given the value of public education and college in the u.s., i dont think it matters.

12 years of public education and youre still useless and only good for flippin burgers

4 years of college and you may still be equally as useless

So you arent taking any value away from yourself by cheating, or from anyone else. I dont like youtube and how they monitize a lot of their stuff.

This isn't true at all. There's many hard labor jobs that pay rather well but nobody wants to do them. Antenna tower climbing is 50 grand a year with a high school diploma. Trucking pays well, there's a huge worker shortage, requires a GED and a clean record. Trade jobs can make a lot more than they tell you in high school without a degree. There's also a big construction worker shortage, but those are the jobs everyone lost in 2008 so that's not surprising. If you go to college and blow 50 grand on a liberal arts degree nobody's going to hire you, but if you do any sort of degree requiring math then it's next to impossible to cheat on that at any university worth attending since they'll want an ID and have randomized tests that aren't the same from class to class.

If none of that appeals to you then yeah you might only be good for flipping burgers, and even then, if you own the Five Guys...

Yeah but highschool and college dont make you valuable for those jobs.

I know what you intended to say, and it is correct, but the subject and object got mixed: the website that makes your homework sponsored the youtubers, not the other way around ;) (so "they got the chance to be sponsored by..." etc.)

Yes, you explained the situation well, so that's all I had to add :P

I'll just add a bit to OP.

YTers got hit a sponsorship chance to sponsor a website that lets you write reports, essay or even course works for a fee. It's essential academia cheating.

I've written reports that took me 3 to 4 days to compile, write and review to hand in. If someone paid 5$ to get a report for nothing an get a degree, then that just pisses me off. No doubt the entire academia community is in arms about it.

Seriously, what kind of quality can you expect from them given the price?

Honestly I would care about this if our modern education system wasn't complete shit.

All through my college classes I have used Wikipedia as a source. I have quoted it directly, citing wikipedia and the source Wikipedia cited. Never have I had the source Wikipedia cited contested, but always had Wikipedia itself contested.

Yet the content from Wikipedia has never actually been contested on grounds of factual accuracy. Only on the "Wikipedia isn't a legitimate source of information" grounds. Which I maintain is complete bullshit when considering scientific and fact based topics.

So tell me, who's the bigger problem, teachers not doing their jobs or Wikipedia? Honestly I think they don't like it because with the internet and the free flow of information and ideas, colleges feel threatened. Almost as if their existence was no longer entirely necessary.
