good matx case for office use?

gameboy3800
Go to solution Solved by om puri,

How about cooler masters silencio 352, it is professional looking, has sound deadening, and has 5.25 drive bays.

Hello. I'm looking to replace my dads old office pc thats running an old 3rd gen i5 to one of the new ryzen apus with vega graphics. should be a good upgrade. but i am having an issue choosing a case. i would like it to be a fairly small matx unit with a more closed off and sleek design as to not get dusty living in an office, and it also needs a 5.25 drive bay for a blu ray burner. not looking to spend a ton on just the case; sub 70usd. if theres anything like the fractal define nano s or nzxt h200i but with a 5.25 drive bay that would be perfect. i know those are itx cases but that's the style i'm looking for; small cube, space efficient, not an eyesore with lights or fan grills everywhere. his office does get dusty, so someting with minimal side or top vents to keep dust from settling inside a powered off system would be ideal. i thank all those who leave suggestions in advance.

edit: i could go itx, but would much rather prefer the option to put in additional usb or a sound card through pcie ports.

This one is cheap and looks pretty smart. It's on sale though so decide fast!

So you want an absolutely clean front with a 5.25" bay? How about a full transparent side panel?

yes. clean front with 5.25. would like to have side panel be solid. but id take a windowed one as long as it doesnt have any vents.

It's going to be hard to find an absolutely clean front with 5.25 bays. These are close. I'm going assume clean being no mesh. But these all have side vents. Again, hard to find any without at this price point anymore.

Corsair Carbide 88r, mATX case with better airflow than the silencio series.
