Make ISP data caps illegal : petition

I made a petition to get rid of data caps in the USA. The cool thing with this petition vs other types. The White House has to talk about it if it gets 100,000 signatures .

Within it I linked a few videos explaining the problem because you're only given 800 characters to explain whatever. One of them is Linus's newest data cap video. My hope in sharing this here is Linus and others will share this.

I agree, but the point of this is to more get the people with power to start talking about it. But I only doubt it because the FCC and the net neutrality thing. There is things out there right now is saying 72% of the people in USA doesn't know what it is. Literally former FCC people is saying it is the cause of the white surmises.

However, it still is worth a try. I think it's better to grab life by the balls and try. You might not get what you want, but at least you tried.

Considering how many petitions exactly like this are out there on just a simple google search (first page even) i'd say they just don't care enough....

IDK. I think the reason why is many of these ISP are saying around 90% of their users never hit it. On top of that, if you do look up data cap on YouTube. You will see a good number of videos getting into why we shouldn't have it, and some suggest it should be illegal. 

I would like to believe that not many has even done this. And the majority doesn't know it is a problem to start with. Kinda like the net neutrality.

i have  a 2tb cap i will never see how people can go over that i sit at my computer all day 24/7 gaming and watching videos and i still dont manage to get over 1 tb

This would be a really nice thing to have, but not sure if it will happen. What I would love to happen is great internet speeds all across the U.S. and not have only 1 company available that is overpriced with poor speeds. I don't think this will occur  

 

 

 

EDIT: However, this would be nice for mobile data

I'm in Canada, and my ISP has so much money they decided to just not care if you pass your data cap. They just call you saying that you passed it, then they don't charge and don't care

Mine use to do this, but some France company bought them. I have a 150GB and there is no option to switch companies.
