Geforce now using a non Nvidia gpu

Im about to make my first pc build, and i have a Nvidia Shield TV 2017 version. I am curious, since ill have the gtx 1080 TI. If i want to use the game streaming and geforce now experience and the shield controller, do i have to have a Nvidia GPU? Or can i get Asus's GTX 1080 ti and still have access to all those features?

The ASUS 1080ti is still an nvidia GPU.

Just like any other 1080ti.

Asus's GTX 1080 ti

nVidia produces the processor, the "Graphical Processing Unit" from the term GPU, the rest of the card, PCB, Cooler I think even memory and what not is of responsibility of the video card manufacture in this case Asus.

nVidia also manufactures entire video cards though, but it is like a Dell office computer, it has Intel processor but the rest is under Dell's responsability.

The Gigabyte AORUS has the best ti reviews and benchmarks. Well, reviews are opinion, but the benchmark and specs (especially OC specs/benchmarks) are fact.

There is enough youth in this world, how about a fountain of smart?

It definitely is! Looks great, runs cool, and in OC mode it hits nearly 2GHZ without flinching. But, from what I've seen in reviews all the AIBs seem to be good.
