That's definitely not white, that's brushed aluminium. Not just the backplate it seems, but the entire card.

kinda ironic I was debating to do a 1800x build with a black&white theme and this would fit in perfect ... it's almost like fate

The Gigabyte Black and White gaming board would fit well with that. :D

That definitely looks like brushed metal. I like it even more now!

Too bad it requires proprietary RoadWorkstm to drive on at the low low price of 2000$ per hour, and you have to sign over all your private info to be able to turn the steering wheel. xD

What disappointed you exactly? Because if you're talking about Ryzen I will send you very nasty thoughts telepathically so I dont get banned.

It was Ryzen to an extent, but also anything they've released since the 7970 has been disappointing to me.

There is no VEGA card in that pic, it's just a outer shell.

Notice the gpu retention bracket is missing from the back plate cut out.

More photos showing a case. Looks like a reviewers case with a reviewers guide. If so, it should be out quite soon.

When can we expect the release? I'd love to see how this will be priced as well as if Nvidia will adjust prices for GTX1080Ti after Vega is released.

In 1H 2017.

That's all we've known for over a year now. They're being really tight lipped about information.

Just before it's launch we have Ryzen R5, and Polaris refresh as well. Then Naples and Vega. AMD have a massive line up this year.

If that's the packaging it comes in, I am buying a reference card.

I suggest you wait and see how that reference card performs. You can have an amazing looking card, if it runs as hot as lava while sounding like a jet fighter it's still a hunk of junk.

They've had masses of time to prepare, let's all hope they don't screw it up! Go AMD :D

Indeed. AMD is bringing competition to the market and I'm looking forward to it. It might be a good year to upgrade.

What’s with AMD reference cards looking more and more like boxes these days? Next thing you know, we’ll have a perfect rectangular prism for a GPU ?

They have been boxes for a very long time.
