I never thought I hid the fact that I'm a "leftie". This is a factoid though so good job.

Factoid means a lie/fake news posing as truth. So it seems like truth, but isn't. The term was coined by Norman Mailer describing how people believed everything they heard about Marylin Monroe, the second it was put to writing. After all that's what the suffix -oid means. Like a humanoid seems like a human, but isn't.

This is an opinionated post around a news item, not a news item with an opinion. like seriously the title alone is cringe worthy. Its like reading breibart or naturalnews. can we just ban posts like this already.

Your thread must include some original input to tell the reader why it is relevant to them, and what your personal opinion on the topic is.
Your thread must include a link to at least one reputable source. Most of the time, this should be a respected news site.
Your thread should also include quotes from the cited source(s). While you shouldn't just copy the entire article, your quote should give the reader a summary of the article in a way that gives the key details, but also leaves room for them to read the full article on the linked website. Please use quote tags (the speech bubble at the top of the editor, under the  :)) to show that you have copied this content from another site.
The title of your thread must be relevant to the topic and should give a reader a good idea of the contents of the thread. Copying the title of the source is permitted but absolutely not required.
If your article is about a product or some form of media, images are always appreciated, although they are not required.

Why? It doesn't break any rules.

It doesn't no, thats what im saying. It should be banned. It really isnt something personal, its that the main focus of the post should be the news not whatever twist someone puts on it. there was just no attempt to present the news objectivly.

Nobody has a problem with being socially excluded for their views or speech.
It's when it's not so simple social consequence and extends to other areas that should be protected.
Like how my employer shouldn't be able to terminate me because of my religious beliefs/practices or the fact i might be an AMD fanboy and they might be an Nvidia fanboy.
Although, this is outside the topic; Twitter is a private company, they can do what they want and moderate however they want.
The market will decide how far they go.

I dont want to end up in and epic argue but you arw invalidating your own argument. Since anyone's company its private, they have the right to fire anyone because they dont like you haircut, your dog or anything, none has to tell them who to employ or who to fire. Whether its good to the company because you were or were going to be a good employee doesnt matter, theyll suffer the consequences, maybe none will want to work with them because they are stupids and they only employ ginger people (whatever). I think i mad my point, or maybe i didnt because my english is not that good (?)

I agree, to an extent. The law protects you from government consequence in saying what you want (except for the incitement of panic). While I agree that (using your example) an Nvidia employee that prefers AMD products shouldn't be discriminated for such, if said employee decides to slander Nvidia or threaten their reputation with said slander, then Nvidia is fully at rights to intervene.

i know, they don't, my point is that unless someone is screaming "Ala give me strength not to kill these white folks, please, plz, plz" they should be allowed to say what they want.

social media is too important for todays people for it to be a safe space against different opinions,

I say they should, not the Have to.

Eh, just another hole Twitter poked in their already sinking ship.  They're more interested in politics than moneymaking now, and it'll eventually be the end of them -- good riddance.

I made 3 seperate points, they're not conflicting each other.
I think it might be your English but it seems to be a regional issue as well, here in the U.S. you can't fire someone because they own a dog breed you don't like.
I agree though that the market will decide whether a business continues or not in a competitive environment.

Of course, but that's slander.
I'm not saying it should protect you from consequences of slander because slander is not a social issue nor will the consequences be social.

At this point I'm just waiting for Civil War II. In a way I'm looking forward to it, because at least then the worst will have happened.

Anyone who thinks this developing rift in ideology will not come to a head in wholesale slaughter is delusional. Of course, it won't solve anything more than it did the last time. But we can stop pretending that this country stands for Values or Freedom.

I think this rise of nationalism globally will cause WW3 first.

First of all, this is the internet so there are very few things one should take seriously.
Second of all, I have been on this planet for very little time and I can successfully detect when someone is being serious or not like 80-90% of the time, so it can't be that hard.

Third of all, the world needs assholes. They are usually the only ones who speak the truth no matter how bad it might be.
