That's nothing. Chromebooks don't have popup blockers built in the chrome so when they go to http://2ezpzkekrek.weebly.com 10 tabs open a second until your computer crashes.

Well you are wasting time on this matter.

There's no point in "working on a 3d pokemon game", you're just gonna get a ceased&desist letter by Nintendo when you're about ready to launch the game/wasted months of your life on it. Try making something unique/as different as possible from pokemon, without using any name or appearance that would make one think "pokemon".

Instead of doing something like this, why don't you have a sensible conversation with your teacher? Also, since when can they really 'force' you into a different direction? "It's a dead market" and "no one wants a game dev" is complete bullshit... But it is a relatively specialised field, especially if you're going into it very early, such as doing a bachelor's in Games Engineering, which my uni offers for example...

I too have a minor form of dyslexia - though mine manifests in me saying things incorrectly or out of order. I think 1967 and I say "1697" instead. This happens more often when speak in rapid fire. I personally have no issues with typing or writing though.

 

But in any case, having dyslexia is not an excuse. Especially since you know you have it, you should be extra careful to check your spelling and grammar, as this will reinforce and help you adapt to living a life with that particular issue.

 

Anyway, I agree with @Mug about the game. Make something original. Nintendo loves suing people and doesn't love people using their IP. You might really like Pokemon, but if you want to make a game, come up with your own idea.

 

I think it's cool that you want to be a game dev. But be realistic about it. Learn the skills, if that's what you're interested in, but also learn about the job market, how many jobs are even available, what the pay and working conditions are like, etc. Most game devs, especially new ones, work like slaves, and don't get paid that great. Know what you're getting into.

 

But also, respect what your teacher instructs you to do in class. If you're wasting in class time doing shit like this instead of the work you're assigned? That's irresponsible, and if I were your teacher, I'd probably despise you. If, however, you're doing this in your spare time, after completing your assignments and school work? Whatever man, you do what you want in your spare time.
