SanDisk is producing cases for the iPhone with expanded storage

The most intriguing part of this announcement is how SanDisk is getting the iPhone to work with the case, since Apple doesn't exactly play nice with a solution like this. Unfortunately, it involves the use of a required app that will back up types of media (like photos, music) in general, instead of allowing for individual drag-and-drop file storage. Well, at least apple users are used to that sort of thing (syncing, anyone?) ;)

If you are going to spend that much for a case for the additional storage, might as well just get the phone with bigger storage from the get go and enjoy the goodness of NVME storage speed. Also, what an ugly case.

Well, if you have 128 gb already, and somehow you need more...

I have no idea how you could use up more than 128gb on a phone without a crap ton of 4K video on there though.... And if that's the case, JUST BACK IT UP TO YOUR BLOODY PC

Some people have no desktop or laptop at home anymore. Their smartphones is everything.

So they paid over 800 dollars for a smartphone but didn't have a laptop or desktop?

The company pays part of the phone. We pay 100-200 euro out of our pockets, depends on the model.

 

I found it very weird also. Until I went around asking many of my colleagues. So many of them has no desktop or laptpop at home.

Oh I see. Still, 99% of people have a laptop and desktop if they have a high end iPhone. But I guess there is still that 1%!

A full length movie in 1080p is over 10GB, 128GB doesn't last long if you like downloading movies.

Hevc 1080p qc22 is only about 1GB per hour, but yea I can totally use up 128GB if I wanted to. I'd kinda love to mirror my 200GB flac audio collection (I have about 3TB in TV shows and 2TB in movies so no chances there... And that is almost all Hevc 1080, only a few 720, and 4k)

It's more common than you think. What with the whole leasing system in place for smartphones, you're having people getting Galaxies and iPhones because it's "not much more expensive" than getting, say, an LG G2. The whole system tricks people into thinking smartphones aren't as expensive as they are.

Some people like to have a huge movie/music/tv series collection.

A friend of mine also did the same thing. He had bought a lot of hard drives and I think in his main pc, he has more than 8 HDDs connected to it, which varies from 1TB- 4TB drives.

 

For me I only collect a few movies that I really like. xD

So over time I can watch them over and over and over again.   :D
