What has come out? We've been on the 900 series for a while and is similar in performance to the 700 series except for the 980 ti, the 300 series is a rebrand of a rebrand except for the top-end (at least performance clones like with nvidia if not architecture clones), Skylake is boring as fuck and AMD hasn't put out anything enthusiast-grade for CPUs in years.

The SE was more an attempt by apple to cover up any holes in their platter of offerings to consumers...Just biting off a bit of share from the people who still liked small phones but like Apple as well....

They're all the same board with the only variant being usb 3.1 and fan headers. Not worth reviewing.

Whats with the hate on small phone screens? I have to carry two phones per day for work (a personal 5s and a work 6) and there is nothing you can't do on the 4 inch phone that you can on the 4.7, only its lighter and easier to handle.

About the SE - i think I will go for that,since smartphone is for communication and social apps,not for movie watching and wanna-be photography and Instagram fame.I might go for SE to switch from my Nexus 5,since I want a smaller phone and bettter battery life.

Ram overclocking capabilities, hence why I said depends on the use case scenario. 

 

Only the two dimm slot boards can do 1T above 3866 mhz at 12-12-12 timings.  The impact and Z170m oc formula are currently the only boards doing 4100+ mhz at 12-12-12 1T, some good ram kits on them can even do 4133 12-11-11.  They can also run lower RTL vs other boards, which gives lower latency.  They also require less volts to achieve the same ram overclocks that the normal 4 dimm boards do, at the same volts they will always clock higher due to the board and dimm slot layout. 

 

For serious overclockers, this is a big deal. (hence why I mentioned use case)

I think you were right in that the SE wasn't innovative. However I don't think Apple used the old design to trick people into buying the 6s. Apple received backlash from people, like myself, who liked the rectangular look of the 5 and 5s and liked smaller phones when the 6 came out. And I think Apple's release of the SE was spurred on by the investors but this is an isolated instance of this happening. I don't think Apple is going to stop innovating and let themselves be ruled by the shareholders. Just look at their new 16nm A10.
