VERY SLOW NEW SITE

Starelementpoke
Go to solution Solved by Guest,

This is mostly due to the server load being quite high as we're still converting content from IPB 3.

Not so sure if this is a bug or not, but the new site loads incredible slowly for me. Like 1-3 minutes for anything to load. Youtube loads fine, so it´s not my internet.

More like 2-3 seconds, which is quite a bit compared to the old forum where my pages loaded in less than 1 second

That's probably due to the content rebuilds going on -- as per @colonel_mortis' announcement.

It's a little slow for me, but not minutes, just a couple of seconds.

Tried using a different browser? Clearing cookies may be a good idea too.

It's been very slow for me, but maybe it's because its the first time I've been on this new site. I took me 2 minutes just to be able to sign in. It also took a good 10 seconds just for me to be able to start writing a reply. Hopefully it'll fix itself though as I browse the site a little.

Could be for you but i am sure there are others with the same issue, give them a bit as they did say there will be bugs.

The site loads fine for me, what i had to disable is the chrome/google notification sound, got annoying after a while.

A water-cooled mid-tier gaming PC.

It works fine for me on a chromebook bad internet, so it's probably just you.

Tip to those that are new on LTT forum- quote a post so that the person you are quoting gets a notification, otherwise they'll have no idea that you did. You can also use a tag such as @Ryoutarou97 (replace my username with anyone's. You should get a dropdown after you type the "@")to send a notification, but quoting is preferable.

Feel free to PM me about absolutely anything be it tech, math, literature, etc. I'll try my best to help. I'm currently looking for a cheap used build for around $25 to set up as a home server if anyone is selling.

If you are a native speaker please use proper English if you can. Punctuation, capitalization, and spelling are as important to making your message readable as proper night theme formatting is.

My build is fully operational, but won't be posted until after I get a GPU in it and the case arted up.

Lagging and hanging on Firefox. But I'll be happy to wait a week and see if it improves. We had bit similar issues with Beta in December.

Fast for me. Can some of you post some data? Looks like Cloudfare has CDN's directly off of Cox, and probably other providers. Could that explain the different in speed for different users? Try deleting your DNS cache: Windows Key + R > CMD > IPconfig /flushDNS

Windows 7, Chrome 47, Google DNS, ISP Cox, RI/USA

Tracing route to linustechtips.com [104.20.0.11]
