It's nice to see someone in politics talk a little more in depth about something and not sound like a complete incompetent while doing so.

 

I mean, trump is still a joke, but I have to give credit where it is due.

Milo Yiannopoulos is a joke. He's a conservative who hates himself and thinks there is something wrong with him because he's gay. He might not be incompetent, but that doesn't mean he isn't being disingenuous.

Really nice post. Lets not forget that this follows the doctrine that people in syria are the only problem. Most of the attackers come from the countries they attack or nearby so blocking syrian access is dumb. Not to mention it was already done to Assad and he was still buying rhianna music on iTunes or whatever so this isn't new and has been shown not to work.

So he proposes routing an approximate 21EB of data a month through US network infrastructure? Need I remind people that America has some of the worst infrastructure in the world? It barely copes with the current load, never mind the added load of everything else, also he proposes having the NSA monitor it? 21EB of data a month? They can't even monitor current levels of data, never mind all of that.

How would a small government branch sift through that much data? They can't, it's impossible, the entirety of the internet would collapse in an instant, not even Google could do it, but go ahead, spend a lot of tax payers dollars trying to enact his genius plan.

All of this to deny a handful of countries access to the internet? What a fucking nutcase, the only morons here are those that believe that this is even remotely possible, or even remotely moral, no one country should police the internet, least of all the US.

He also wants to build a wall along the border with Mexico, I remember hearing something like that once before, and I think it was a video game that took the piss out of people like Trump, oh yeah, I remember, it was GTA Vice City.

He's not a legitimate politician, he's a moron, a dangerous moron at that, but one with a lot of money that could cause the US a lot of problems if he ever took seat in the White House.

I'll reiterate, this "plan" is not possible, and comes from the mouth of someone with only the vaguest idea of what the internet actually is, or how big it really is. His brainfart (I refuse to call it an idea) would be the biggest DDOS in history and in the meantime Daesh would be pissing themselves laughing at the whole charade.

simply, Trump was "educated" in how to explain his original idiocy on stage

even if you manage to limit access to Syria at hardware level, by physically disconnecting the multiple trunks in and out of the country, you will create a widespread effect on the entire region

even thinking of this is lunacy since it would involve international legislation and decades of economic and communication treaties, multiple countries and multiple ISPs

let's say they cut internet to Syria, what makes him think ISIS won't just use another country's internet? you do need to keep in mind this terrorist organisation is one without borders

didn't Russia, intentionally wanted to cut itself from "The Internet" a couple of times already?

how well did that went? it didn't! one just can't cut "The Internet"

immagine cutting internet access to Syria like cutting access to internet to an entire apartment building in some city - the residents will just go to the nearest WiFi HotSpot

Which would involve a physical solution instead of software.

so now we're not only walling off Mexico (and making them pay for it), banning Muslims from the US and cutting the chords from countries WHERE THE US DOESNT EVEN HAVE LEGISLATION.

There is already a war between many countries and Isis, so I don't think a war could start from this. I think this policy of his is more of a way to temporarily ban them, so that they could create better measures against stopping terrorists from getting in. No one wants another incident like what happened at Paris.

I don't understand your point. People travelling to a country do not have to be a refugee, they can simply be a traveler or something. How they got in is still questionable, but nothing changes the fact that you gotta stop them before they get in. France has even tightened border checks to try to reduce the probability of another attack.

Stop them? Who is them? When a white christian male goes on a mass shooting, do we now worry about all christian white males? Why is it okay to generalize about other demographics, but when it comes to whites, they're not only isolated incidents but also not even labeled terrorism? You just said you don't want anymore incidents similar to what happened in France. Who exactly is it that you want to stop from traveling to prevent that?

There is already a war between many countries and Isis, so I don't think a war could start from this. I think this policy of his is more of a way to temporarily ban them, so that they could create better measures against stopping terrorists from getting in. No one wants another incident like what happened at Paris.

unlikely to lead to war but it would completely destroy the bridges built between America and the rest of the world. The US would likely get kicked out of the UN. And go from friendly terms with Europe to at each others throats. That act alone would not lead to war but it would create tensions that another event could trigger war.

And trust me, temporarily banning a massive religious group of which 99% is completely innocent is not the answer.
