A person I know has removed some sort of thing out their phone's battery (a Samsung S5?). She's claiming that it's a mic put there by the NSA to spy on people. These are the images she posted on facebook:

So... does anyone know what that thing actually is? Or is it really a chip to allow for the government to spy on you?  :D

OP your friend is dumb. please let her know her tinfoil hat doesnt work unless trimmed with lead.

We can't Benchmark like we used to, but we have our ways. One trick is to shove more GPUs in your computer. Like the time I needed to NV-Link, because I needed a higher HeavenBench score, so I did an SLI, which is what they called NV-Link back in the day. So, I decided to put two GPUs in my computer, which was the style at the time. Now, to add another GPU to your computer, costs a new PSU. Now in those days PSUs said OCZ on them, "Gimme 750W OCZs for an SLI" you'd say. Now where were we? Oh yeah, the important thing was that I had two GPUs in my rig, which was the style at the time! They didn't have RGB PSUs at the time, because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big green ones.

I was looking into this a few weeks ago when it 1st started popping up, everything Iwas reading said NFC, but you could be right too.

well if whatever model phone she has doesnt support Qi or another type of wireless charging it's for NFC.

 

either way, not NSA tracker. if NSA wanted to track you they can just use the phone's GPS and the 2 or 3 microphones already built into the phone, no need for spare parts.
