Huh, that would be pushing their luck just a little to far...

You gotta consider that the minimum recommendation is for people who are willing to run  at 800x600 at all low with 30 fps.

I was a little worried for a second thinking my 6950 would have to run it at min.

Forget their "Minimum" spec.

This should be the real "Minimum" spec:

Processor: Dual core CPU

Memory: 4 GB
Hard Drive: 20 GB free space
Video Card: DirectX 11 compatible with 1024 MB RAM (NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 or ATI Radeon 6950) or better

If you dont have at least 4GB or system RAM and a GTX 560 then you should not be trying to play BF4. Suck it up and Upgrade. Ypu can spend $500+ on a new console but you cant spend $150 on a 650 Ti Boost!?

  • 3 weeks later...

The "BF4 PC specs" that was on UPlay are not the real official specs.

i think you'll be fine, you just won't be able to play on every high or ultra at 1080p, maybe medium to high, depending on the settings u choose, just turn off AA and you'll be fine.

I highly doubt this game is going to be insanely demanding on hardware.

i think anyone with

- a 7950, 760 (all the same 660ti, gtx 670).....

- a good intel quad core 2500k or amd 6300.6350,8320,8350 or above

- minimum 4gb, 8gb preferred ram

would be fine on high/very high at atleast 1080p...above that is to be debated on the vram usage.....that will be made clear when the actual game is out...overall i think most people in this forum shouldnt worry....they wouldnt make a game look that good and then have a small fraction of people be able to actual see the beauty of it....

As long as I can play the game with decent frames, 1440p, and decent graphical settings, I'll be happy.

Chances are I'll be able to :D

Phew! Looks like my GTX 275 (896 MB)[RIP BFG tech] will scrape by.

Just recently upgraded from dual 8800 GT's…

Been playing BF3 on medium with no AA at 1920x1200 with a good 45 fps which is just phenomenal for a card from 2009

Well I have not got to worry about the requirements then if they are going to be basically the same as BF3.

Already running BF3 at max, with no AA as it's not needed at 1080p and I am hitting up to 180fps so I will easily run BF4 maxed out.

Kind of disappointed though since I was hoping it was going to be more demanding.

Lmao. This is exactly why I say my 560Ti is the best video card ever. All these new games only recommend 560's.

Well, I have a dual core: G840... :(

LOL so do I- it's a solid gaming CPU thanks to the high IPC of Sandy Bridge.

Plan to pick up a 3770K within the next few months- before they become too rare. Last chance to upgrade on socket 1155.

What specs do i need for star citizen jw? would a 760 and i5 4670k suffice?

No official data yet but you can safely expect that It will run Star Citizen smoothly at 1080p

Kind of disappointed though since I was hoping it was going to be more demanding.

:D Only a PC gamer would say something like this.
