What does it say in the BIOS?

An AMD cpu has no place in a solely gaming build, end of.

I would ask if you're using a 32-bit version of Windows, but since you already had 8gb before I'd say either a stick or a slot is faulty.

in Bios its showing 1333ghz 4gb... and i'm using 64bit

i think its because i used that slot and that 1333ghz 4gb ram for like 3 years...

how does one update that stuff ?

If you're only using 1 stick of RAM and windows is only allowing you to use 4 but detects 8. You're most likely using 32-bit windows and that's the hard limit for 32-bit :)

nvm

Go to BIOS and reset everything to default and see if that makes a difference?

Possible that they're 2X2GB? Can you send us a link of the exact kit you bought?
