Ugliest Tech Ever

FX 5800 Ultra they were god awful looking.

Agreed. Looked like some kind of 90s neon plastic toy you'd get at a dollar store.

Eric S. Raymond used an E6600 from 2005 until 12/30/14 or open source software creation. Raw data computations in excess of 18GB each. Core 2 Duos still have tons of life left, my friend.

I do wish though that more companies did fans that changed colors based on temps, like the 580 and 6970 MSI lighting cards did.

I think I've seen that. Btw, the fan on the reference 6950 was so fucking loud it was a hairdryer. There's a video of Linus complaining about it somewhere on the NCIX page.

Basically, this is a really subjective thread because everyone likes/hates different things. What one person finds ugly, another finds quite nice! ;)

I personally think, with even being a PC fan, that Apple's latest desktops and laptops are quite aesthetically pleasing, but I know that others will disagree. I know that trash can *cough* Mac Pro doesn't look great, but the engineering to create such a powerful and small form factor Mac Pro is pretty incredible I think. B)

Ok cool but design-wise? It's a piece of art! Nothing comes close in simplicity and sturdiness.

Chances are he did. I know, he didn't delete the post like a proper CL user and instead put "SOLD" in the post.

I feel so sorry for whoever bought it, seriously.
