What are some things you've head people say/think about computers that drove you crazy?

So what are things you have heard people say about computers that drove you crazy? Like two things that drive me crazy is, when someone calls a Surface a laptop. And the people that think all computers are the same. They go into a store and see a PC for $500, $400, and $300 and get the $300 one because to them all computers are the same.

But those are just two of the things that drive me crazy. What are some of yours?

I know i have heard people say that. They do die quicker then a HDD but it still takes a long time to kill them.

In 2014 "This is a HIGH END GAMING computer with a Geforce GTX 260 graphics card!"

Seriously the stuff I'm getting ready to discard is the stuff that passes for "high end gaming!" according to facebook sellers.

Another thing that drives me crazy is the people that sell these quad core AMD computers on eBay for $400 and say "Perfect for Minecraft."

When people think the monitor is the computer

When people say the camera on their 4th gen ipod touch is probably better than my mirrorless

When people assume that if something is more expensive it must be automatically better (cough Apple cough)

When people assume that I can magically open any type of file on any computer without installing anything and get irritated when I tell them to give me 10 minutes to download openoffice portable or gimp

2gb of VRAM! written in huge letters on pictures of laptops with gt 710s

When people think having more storage will miraculously have their pc run faster.

People thinking that APUs are good for gaming. NO.
my dad thinking that having an external 5400rpm HDD hooked up to USB 3.0 will make it faster. NO.

When people think you need an optical drive to boot a computer (they did at one point.)
People thinking I am hacking when I bypass a command line block at school. That is not hacking, that is CRACKING.
When people mix RAM and brag about how awesome their 12/24GB computer is!!!
The absolute worst though is when someone is goaded into buying an overpriced video cable because "those cheap ones will give you really bad image quality."
 

Or whenever a member of Best Buy's computer staff opens his mouth (no offense to those of you on here who DO work at Best Buy -- this does not apply to you because you are here)

1. People who think that entering someone else's Facebook/Insta/etc is hacking

I hate this more than anything. It's insulting more than anything.

I also hate how people don't see my PC being justifiable but still consider Macs great options for computers.

I also really hate people who recommend Macs to a freshman with barely any money to their name, claiming it's the only way to do work.

I understand that some people don't need an expensive computer, but I absolutely hate it when people argue that you should never spend over $500 on a PC because THEY don't see the practicality of it.
