Small Build Case Suggestion

TheFlyingSquirrel

So I love my CM Storm Trooper, however as a living room pc it is just too big for my lifestyle.  Especially as I am gaming less.

CPU i7-4770k

EVGA GTX 1070

Things I assume that I need to change:

  • Asus Maximus Hero VI C2
  • Noctua NH-D14
  • Corsair AX760
  • Asus Xonar STX

Ideally, this needs to be as cheap as possible.

Intel 12400F | 2x8 3000Mhz Corsair LPX | ASRock H570M-ITX  | Noctua DH-N14 | Corsair MP50 480GB | Meshilicious | Corsair SF600Fedora

Thanks let me know if I said something useful. Cheers!

It depends on HOW small you want to go. DO you just want a Compact ATX case like the Meshify C? (which can natively support all of that) or are you looking for something SFF (which would require a motherboard change, most likely a CPU cooler change and also likely a PSU change as well)

Seeing as you have a sound card I'm assuming you dont want to give that up?

Sugo

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

As small as possible, happy to buy an itx board.

Yes, I need to support 150 ohms headphones. Magmi are a bit deer.

A mITX board will only have a single PCI-E slot which will be taken up by your GPU, so if you're okay with getting an external DAC/AMP system then you can definitely go ITX
