LTT Conglomerate main discussion thread

@DamDirtyApe I don't think they will be offering LTI at any time in game, I think it was a one time offer that has now passed.

Yeah, I would imagine they'll never offer that again. And if they do it would be some sort of limited anniversary deal or package. Who knows. LTI is a huge economy breaker, so you're more than likely right.

CR said that the cost will be small, but logically the cost will scale according to the ships original pricing. 5%? 10%? No one knows, but I think it will be around 5-10% which shouldn't be top bad.

It kinda is a psychological matter, that feeling of convenience and reassurance that if you get jumped (not boarded), you will be fine. But you need to remember to insure upgraded parts. The LTI only covers basic hull. So I may try to find a OG backer and ask him to buy me a package while I tip him fairly.

They also stated that the starting money you receive in a package, 300i coming with 1,000 or 2,000 UEC, will be enough to provide fuel, munitions and (I think they stated) insurance for the first few missions. And 2,000 UEC is insanely small. So I imagine the insurance cost will be fairly minimal. More than likely it's there to add to the depth and realism of the games universe.

Maybe players can sell insurance too one day.

Imagine that.

Does switching to Lico help you save 15% or more on ship insurance?

...

Does Slick really, really like the word really?

*Queue a compilation of older videos featuring Slick saying, "Really, really."*

Or something to that effect.

First few missions? I hope the money you make will be much more. Plus insurance for weapons won't be too cheap.

Speaking of weapons, which are the best ballistic(hard ammo) weapons and which are the best lasers?

Lasers are good against the hull, hard ammo is good against the shield. or maybe it's switched around :P

LTTC needs a fleet of starfarers as well as some escorting hornets for dat fuel monopoly. It is said that fuel will generate a good, I mean A GOOD LOAD, of sum.

Selling my parts of my 900D rig for a jacked up Ncase M1. PM me for offers if interested (will take some reasonable-low offers because I'm desperate).

Parts that I'm selling: 900D (1 slot cover broken for stealth DVD drive mod) | Asus Z87 Deluxe | Cooler Master 212 Evo | Corsair 4x2GB black ram @1600mhz | EVGA 1000G2 PSU (2 cables with missing heat shrink) | DVD drive | HP membrane keyboard | Ducky Shine 3 YOTS in blue switches (warranty sticker broken)

So guys, I'm relying on you heavily here.

I'm mostly new to PC gaming, though I've been quick to fall under it's wing, and as this is one of the biggest games coming out for it, it was bound to come into my attention despite me being mildly hopeless.

Anyway, as a big fan of Star Wars, I jumped into SWTOR hoping for some sweet space flight and was very disappointed and was quickly shown Star Citizen when I mentioned my disdain for the on-rails piece of hot mess that was space in SWTOR.

I was hesitant to jump in, until 2013 when I decided I wanted in, but not until now did I fully go through with it, I'm really up for doing anything in game, I suppose, so that hasn't really helped me narrow down what kind of ship I want, so I'm going for the most part on looks here.

So this is where I need your guys' help, I'm choosing between the Cutlass and the Hornet F7C at the moment. I'm probably going to sink as  many hours into this game, so I may end up purchasing both, but what do you guys reckon is the safer bet? Or is there any other ships you'd recommend?

Thanks in advance, take care, take it easy.

Yeah, I emailed their customer service because I didn't get my 10,000 UEC from the package and they told me that I wouldn't receive it until the game launched and what it would be used for.

Hornet is kind of a fighter only. Cutlass won't be anywhere near as strong of a fighter, spec wise, but it has a very large cargo hold, a manned turret for your co pilot and is apparently, spec wise again, very agile. So it really depends on what you're wanting to do in game.

I'm sure if you gave some details on what sort of pilot you want to be in game and what sort of... I don't want to say job, but what you are mainly going to want to do in the game, everyone here will be able to help you figure something out.

There's also the ship spec log if you want more details on each ship...

The Hornet is purely marketed towards dogfighting and space combat, since it has no storage capacity and heavy guns. The Cutlass seems to be perfect for smuggling and salvaging ships, because of its rather large storage capacity and tractor beam with some not all too heavy guns.

It really depends on what you want to do.in game.

I hope this helps a bit :)

Happy hunting!

New to Star Citizen? Look no further!

I can live with putting it that way. Given the good salvage that will be in the Tiber System as well as the asteroid field there, we'll probably fly be each other a lot in game. If anyone messes with you I'll ram them.

Sweet, sounds like a perfect plan. Ram them into submission then salvage them. Think we just stumbled upon the best money making scheme ever.

Into an asteroid. So then we can take turns playing a ginormous version of Operation as we pick out the ore and space junk.
