What is Linus' actual revenue?

CookieSmasherGus

I don’t but he talked about it once. YouTube ad revenue was almost enough to pay 1 person’s salary.

They make most of their money from sponsors to pay salaries & other expenses like power, rent, interwebz.

I don’t think Linus will stroll on in here and say “I make ... 1 million dollars” and start chewing on his pinkie.

This has been asked a million and one times over the past couple years and LMG, obviously, doesn't want to answer this exactly.

Watch the video on how LTT makes money and this response:

Quote

We have about 25 people on staff between LMG and Floatplane Media.

They all make more than minimum wage.

We are profitable (not over-extended) on top of that.

You can probably run some rough numbers based on that if you cared :)

Of course Vessel, mentioned in the video, is not a thing anymore.. Just disregard that.

I think they have more staff at this point too (in the new hiring round), so with that info, you can probably guess something.

I use this formula.

He makes pewdiepie $$$ * (LTT subscriber/pewdipie subscriber) * e0.5x + C

where x stands for how many items Linus drops per day and C stands for the average tunnel bear advertisement per video.

I legitimately want to know why anyone cares?

Grammar and spelling is not indicative of intelligence/knowledge.  Not having the same opinion does not always mean lack of understanding.

If you look up, on Google or another search engine, a celebrity and press the letter 'n' 'Net Worth' is probably the first thing that gets recommended to you. That is if it isn't in the recommended list before pressing 'n'.

People care about this stuff because humans have the dumb need to compare each other to others, in good and bad ways.

Apparently enough to have ruined a RED camera by trying to water cool it.
