    nope,
CS/CX/VS are meant for basic builds, like an office pc , not for gaming/overclocking/enthusiast builds.
the x99(5820) is a GODDAMN enthusiast platform.
even in corsair site says that they are for basic builds.
finally the CX over 600w are rebrands of the older GS series, not that bad, but not that good either.

    Hello LTT Community.

Ever since I found out it's possible to build your own PC, I have always wanted to build one. I started making plans in mid 2014. The original plan was to have an i5 and a GT630 (derp). When I learned more about tech, and my needs changed, so did this build. This is the final result.

This PC is designed to be a workstation, mostly for virtualisation. I chose the CPU and motherboard with Intel VT-d in mind. If you don't know know what it is, it is a technology that allows a virtual machine to have direct access to a hardware component, such as the GPU. This is also why I chose i7, and not a Xeon - if a VM is going to take the GTX 970, something has to be left for the host. This build will also be used for gaming. Mostly CS:GO, but I plan on trying games that require more powerful hardware, such as Battlefield 4 or Grand Theft Auto V.

Also, to anybody building in an Air 240 with a 970 - this Gigabyte Windforce card did fit. I have heard that the Asus Strix and MSI TwinFrozr do not.

Here's most of the parts laid out. The PSU is in the case already, and the RAM is somewhere on my desk.

CPU and RAM installed to the motherboard.

    Will it work?

    Yes it will.

PSU, SSD and HDD installed the rear of the case.

    Motherboard installed.

Yes, it does fit. Stop saying it doesn't, PCPP.

And here is the finished result.

They are good, but they use CapXOn (or whatever they're called) capacitors, so ultra long life isn't expected. Something like an EVGA ---B is better for the price really, although I have had 0 problems with my CX600M even after overclocking both CPU and GPU.

The Tech Report talked about the Nano on their show last week. An interesting point they discussed was the fact that AMD used unusual game settings for those benchmarks. So at this point, those results are mostly irrelevant.

We need to wait unti this card is tested in real-world scenarios by numerous reputable reviewers before we can draw any conclusions as to how it actually performs.

Yes but even Nvidia released their own, they have there own test scripts that they use for testing products, same case with AMD, you have to wait till reviewers fully test the cards and release THEIR OWN test results not the card makers

How can you say that with no benchmarking results or proof forehand, its impossible to say that its got shit performance without out any proof... and if the results are under NDA then you will just have to wait till the NDA is lifted, until then stop jumping to conclusions

The only differences between Mac and PC is that with a PC you can custom build your rig and its a hell of a lot cheaper than a Mac, with a Mac its easier to use and it just works but at the cost of being a bombshell on your wallet, so I would suggest you think about what you want/need and not making a quick and dirty decision, but with a PC you can do everything that you can on a Mac and vice versa so yeah...

My vote would be PC but its you're decision
