you can find the firmware restoration(rescue) utility here on the ASUS support site under "drivers and tools" then win7 64 bit

I think you have to rescue it using a computer connected to a LAN port (preferrably only one device, to port 1) using the included CD
I have that router so let me see what I can dig up

I found instructions on using the rescue function,(edit: oops forgot link http://www.asus.com/us/support/FAQ/1000814/ ) but you have to have the firmware restoration utility which is on the driver disk. I'll try to find it in the driver downloads.

if you need any advice or assistance with configuring that router, feel free to ask. the configuration is pretty powerful if you know what you're doing. I've set mine up with the USB ports as an FTP server and I have my little sister's tablet set to lose internet at 10:00
I will say that if you are changing any of the wireless settings, I recommend making changes one at a time. at one point a setting I changed cut my downloads to 30mbps on the 5ghz band, but a configuration reset cleared it up.

I push my 66U really hard. I am on the Comcast 105 package and I get 130 download near the router and 50 down through several walls and a refrigerator in the farthest part in the house.

Ha, funny thing is is just re installed windows 12 hours ago. Its fine without the software it works great. Guess ill just wait for an update. Thanks for the help though m8.

I got it i was using some cheap cable i got from ebay and then i used my HTC one m8's cable and it worked

I have both and i would say PS4 cuz its interface is not laggy as hell then again this issue on xb1 could easily be fixed via an update. PS4 controller is still a bit weird for me but whatever. I would get whatever console that games you want to play are on. I love halo but i really like uncharted too so i got both

See where your coming from and i agree! But i don't think of the PC mater race in my mind as a bunch of assholes that hate on consoles. Some do and i understand that but, me i just like PC cuz it can run games graphically a lot better than console can. Then again these newer consoles are Mobile PC's...
