Yeah, have that manual too. I also have the drivers for the GPU, modem, audio and usb in case you can get a board and can't find them.
I had the Acer pouch but no floppy and the charger was dead, and obviously the annoyingly missing pieces. No drive but thankfully the adapter board was there...

It's a custom PCB of course using some random board to board connector, can't help you find one but I happen to have a very similar 313T so I can show you how it looks...
Starting a search on Google for "Acer Titan HDD" autocompletes the 98301-1 so I guess we're not the only ones looking for it but nothing comes up (model is actually Titanium as you've probably seen on mobo markings)
 
Unfortunately mine's in pretty bad nick with the plastic cracked in many places, pieces missing and the whole left hinge missing, started working on restoring it but that hinge is a major pain and I haven't really had the right idea for it yet... Also the display cable might have a partially broken trace since the display colors will go weird unless it's at a precise angle.
 
Very cute little machine. I have 2 batteries and they still even run for a good hour or 2. Rare indeed, I snatched it for $15 or so on a local auction site not even noticing it was a tiny laptop before I received it and pretty special since I almost couldn't find squat about it online...
 

 

 
 

Last week I acquired a rare Acer Travelmate 312D that came without the disk. I was hoping to just install a regular laptop IDE drive in it but I soon discovered that it uses a strange connector that I cannot seem to figure out.

It's apparently so rare that I have not been able to find any detailed information about this laptop. 
The disk had been removed by the previous owner and I think that the little cable that converted it to IDE got removed too. This is what is left:

 
Still unsure which connector is used. I've been desperate to find out what it is and if I can find a cable for it so I can put this fully working laptop to use. Hoping anyone would be able to tell me which connector this is. From what I have read online this could be a SCSI connector.

The older the ram the harder it is to mix and match I've found. If you can find someone that did a successful upgrade of this laptop or a ram support page then I would get those tested sticks. SDram is pretty picky sometimes on what it allows and what it does not.

Motherboard: Asus P5E (not the Deluxe)
Ram: 4GB DDR2 400MHz (need different set of ram)
GPU: 1X Nvidia Geforce 8800 GTX. There's a 9600GT in the picture. 
PSU: Brand new Sharkoon PSU. The only new component in the system. Don't trust an old power supply. Not that this is perfect but it'll do just fine. 
HDD: Some WD one I don't know. It's 7200RPM and has been with me for 29.000 spin hours but still performs really great. 
 


Yes this is a 9 inch monitor. Easy to store away if I don't need it. 
 
What am I planning to do with it?
 
Well most parts in this build are cheap and easy to find. I like to switch back to the XP era and play some games on hardware I could never afford back in the day. Plus it's nice to play with hardware again without the fear of breaking an expensive new CPU. I'm still looking to get another identical 8800 GTX so I can run them in SLI. I've never ran anything in SLI or CrossFire ever. These cards can suck a lot of power and I'm not planning on overclocking the card. It's not needed and I don't want to risk breaking the card.
 
The reason I chose to run Windows XP and not Windows 7 with better driver support is because I like XP and this is the OS I would've been running if I had the hardware back then. I still ran XP until 2012. 
 
Anyone have any ideas what I should do or what I should've done? I'd love some feedback
 
 
 
 
 

I had a 8600 GT back in the day with a Pentium D...I remember the CPU being outdated the day I bought it...LOL

The 8-pin connector is called EPS12V, the 4-pin ATX12V. The 4+4P is a combination of these two formats. Only one part of this split connector will fit the ATX12V (not both, don't use force to get it in), both together will fit the EPS12V.

Dude thats weird, you could try and find a cheap secondhand board on marktplaats.

I upgraded to a Ryzen 3800X.  

This is why mounting pressure for your cooler is so important, keep em from getting out

For months I've noticed some performance issues with my CPU. I thought it was my old I7-4770 from 2013 that's just getting outdated. I opened task manager and noticed one of my cores ''escaped''.

Wow, I have exactly same cpu and I runned into task m. to check my cores, luckily I have all my 8 threads there. Maybe 1 core died?

i think there is some setting in windows, where you can shut down cores, maybe that has happened to you somehow

Actually this will be case recommendation #6576824... Couple of late entries were filed recently  
 
Meshify C and TD500 have "non flat" looking front panels, but the Meshify C is usually $85-95, and the TD500 is a airflow choking hazard, so those are both out. 
 
The MB500, K500 and MB511 RGB sorta fill this catagory. If you want something a boit more agressive you can get the Corsair SPEC-01 or -04 cant hold a rad at the top

That's a good idea. I don't really know how deliveroo works, but I think you can choose which orders to accept so you could choose to only accept orders within a 5 mile range for example.
 
There are delivery companies that don't use bikes or scooters, but cars. you don't have to use your own car. They will provide a car for you. At least.. that's how it was for me. I don't live in a big city so cars are a very good option to deliver food in a 30+ mile radius plus it'll be a good alternative instead of a bike.

The GPU and your system is at serious risk.

I think it could if its causing you to crash from not enough/stable power under load. You have an iGPU on your 4770 so I would recommend using that to do basic tasks. 

Yes, if you have to adapt molex to PCI, thats NEVER a good thing. It is definitely an OLD power supply if it only has 1 PCI plug on it. 

Never get the 2070. It makes no sense and it's a complete joke. It's overpriced. Unfortunately you live in the Netherlands, so the 2070 is the only option at that price point when buying new (Vega 64 isn't even on the new market in the Netherlands so we can rule that out). Since you can't get a nice cheap vega 64, you are left with only one option and that is a used 1080ti as you say. Anything to avoid the awful 2070.
