made zos ion reacted to Vishera in hey guys is it normal for chrome to consume 3 million kilobytes of ram?
The question is if you blindly use Automatic Updates that install telemetry updates, which introduce Microsoft's spyware to Windows 7.
Automatic Updates also install some problematic updates that affect stability,it also install unnecessary updates.
Manual updates are the way to go,install every month the security only updates of the ESU and you will be fine (you don't want the crap that comes with the normal updates)
Also i must warn that you don't want to install the security updates to Microsoft's telemetry if you don't have telemetry updates installed.

Agree 100%. I only use the built in Windows 10 defender. Plus the real method to protecting your data is to just back it up. Keep regular copies of your data and you won't even need an antivirus.

No, of course not.
Chrome should be consuming a LOT more than just 3GB of RAM. Something is clearly wrong here.

Windows 7 master race, 10 can suck my ass.
As to OP's problem, how long has Chrome been open? I know if I leave Firefox or even Chrome open for a long time (days) it can really creep up there in terms of RAM usage.

Look at this specs on his profile
honestly windows 7 is probably the best choice for that hardware
i still run 7 on my 9 year old thinkpad because
1) windows 10 is awful
2) windows 7 just runs better on it

i assume "based off" means its to be similar to that kernal, and not to be built off of that kernal and/or using that kernal as a baseline

Hello fellow forum viewers, I have an idea for an operating system called Ventium os. Know you may be asking, Whats ventium OS? Well im glad you asked, ventium os will be an open source project based off the NT kernel. in ventium OS you will be able to customize EVERYTHING to your preferences, you will also be able to run legacy games with a built in emulator. You will also be able to run multiple operating systems at once, you will even be able to customize the blue screens and even boot screen! if you have any suggestions please tell me im open for feedback and everything. Here is the work I have so far...

Which CPU? AS I recall they started out offering a nice Math Coprocessor for 286 and 386 CPUs. Later they had CPU which was basically a 486 without the FPU that fitted into a 386 Socket.

I'm gonna close this thread down. It seems to have run its course.
To settle a couple of arguments, imo this is arguably fair use, and even if it wasn't, we are open to allowing other YouTubers to include our footage with proper crediting anyway.
My only 'beef' was with the accusatory tone of the original message under the video.
It's gone.
I'm good.
My life is a drama-free zone, so if he's apologized then I don't want to hear another bad word about it. Everyone makes mistakes. Its what you do make them right that matters.

Dell banned me from their forums. They did not like me telling their customers about these problems. Easier to pretend that problems like this do not exist.

made zos ion reacted to A1200 in Fujitsu Prebuild Sleeper Mod
So we have a lot of these Fujitsu machines at work and the oldest of them are now starting to fail - dry caps is my guess from the symptoms. So with one case I decided to pimp it a bit with stuff laying around the office.
Its not the newest thing in the world but its another perfectly fine PC for the office for the next new starter or swapping out a dead machine. Yes I know the PSU is at the top so getting warm air into it but on these specs its not going to be roasting hot especially with a decent amount of airflow being directed out via the exhaust fan at the rear of the case.
Four things that made this build very easy compared with other Fujitsu machines we have seen. First off the IO plate is removable on this model - some of the port holes are cut out from the chassis itself. Second, the motherboard mounting posts were in the same place as the holes as the holes on the motherboard - they follow that standard which is good. Thirdly, some of these machines have the slim PSUs which there is less choice in the marketplace for. Lastly, the front LEDs/power switch header is in a single block but it followed the standard pattern to a normal motherboard. All very easy. I added a PCIe USB 3.0 port card for some more high speed IO options and the front USB and Audio ports are also functional. Despite being a small case and no inlet fans (that would have required some more involved modding), the machine runs stable and cool. A machine made from older parts which is still respectable in performance for desktop use today.
