I'll remember this the next time I'm ordering something from EK Waterblocks in Slovenia... Gee they must really hate their customers here in North America... why don't they just stop doing what they are doing currently and open a NA location? I'm getting sick of being charged extra for all the shipping and duties. Me me me me... wahhh

As someone who lives in Eastern Europe, I agree. The taxes have nothing to do with LTT, the taxes are outside LTT's control (others have complained about taxes as well). The shipping prices, to me, are somewhat middle ground, compared to other retailers from Canada and from the U.S. Not cheap, but light years away from being outrageous as the OP states. I've had my fair share of complaints in regards to shipping, but that was because of how shipping was handled by Wizmo and the poor choice of couriers. I'm certain that it will be mitigated, eventually.

As for the products, the OP states, that they are "fairly average" and their "prices are horrendous". Why bother with all this then... It is clear, that what LTT Store has to offer does not rise to the level of excellence that the OP is looking for, therefore all this ranting is entirely irrelevant and unnecessary in my opinion.

Just to be clear here... Yes, you can mismatch RAM. But no, you can't expect them to run at the same speed / timings.

It's not ripping people off. They are clear about the shipping and VAT costs. If you don't like them, don't pay for them.

The entitlement of Europeans when talking about this issue is palpable. And it happens over and over again.

If you don't like the price, don't purchase. Simple as.

You're fine to plug in, just for a little more encouragement. The outer edge of the connectors is grounded so it makes no difference. I've had plenty of cases that end up lining up with the GPU like this.

No they aren't that different at all. They are all competing software which is why the comparisons/arguments always come up when someone says I use or want to use Plex because 90% of the time someone will chime in with the "Why not use Emby/Jellyfin because they are open source". All 3 are great products that offer extremely similar capabilities. The reason why I'm still on Plex is because they support more obscure clients like PlayStation as that actually is my primary device for Plex usage.

    Yes they are.

All 3 are content libraries for hosting media files and for streaming them over the network. They all have nice client interfaces to browse content and play it.

As a Plex user for more than a decade Plex primary usage and reason it existed was for playing your own media, and that is still the case today. More recently they have "other things" and that's as I said more recent and pretty sparse in offered content and bad user experience. Whatever their source is for things like movie trailers, of my own movies, sucks and buffers horribly.

But again they are all comparable and competing software with the same primary use case.

Like I said that doesn't mean people will follow and development will continue long term. Many torrent clients simply stopped existing because of this very issue.

And it's not like I'm saying this is that likely to happen but refer back to original point, "It's open source so we can do whatever we want" which the reality is no. The more of a problem you are perceived the more difficult it'll become. The longer term threat is the removal of legitimate ownership of media at all, I'm already not able to legally obtain Disney media in my country region format. It's not currently illegal for me to buy a US Region 1 Blu-ray on Amazon and import it, currently. It's also currently possible to do this, currently.

That's never stopped things like HDCP being forced in to connection standards and other copy protections. Then there is the issue of companies like Disney no longer selling physical media in Aus/NZ and that is going to keep spreading. Whatever communication direct or indirect that is happening with Plex if I were them I'd see some pretty clear writing on the wall going on here, if eventually the only media (new) that could possibly be in people's Plex media libraries is illegitimately obtained then it is in it's entirety a piracy platform i.e. the only source of this media is on a paid content streaming platform with no re-distribution rights.

It's probably not a good idea to give these companies excuses to push this type of agenda.

I think Robchil mentioned it above, but you are for sure using only the cables that came with the new PSU, and only the ones listed as PCIe and plugged into the corresponding plugs on the PSU correct? You can't use another PSUs cabling with a new one, and the ones listed as PCIe and CPU have different pinouts. If the PC boots with an older and smaller power supply, a wiring issue seems like about the only thing that it could be.

If you want professional advice from a locksmith, go hire one. Don't post on a forum and then get mad when people reply.

A combination lock is arguably no more secure, since it can be brute forced by checking every possible combination. There are tools that do it automatically within a few hours. If you're worried about law enforcement accessing the safe a combination lock isn't going to stop them. A lock will never completely prevent somebody from accessing it, it will only deter or delay.

^^^ Get a cheap 5 or 8 port unmanaged switch from Netgear or TP-Link, I've used both and neither have given me issues. Larger sample size of Netgears if that helps. The 5 port ones are ~$22 and will run forever.

At least with the 7XL you can actually remove it to expose the 5.25" bays and the fan filters. I can remember if the same goes for the smaller ones:

Bad5ector reacted to YoungBlade in Motherboard BIOS keeps resetting RAM to 2133mhz after setting to 3200mhz
It could be that your 2700X is having trouble reaching those speeds. Officially, the 2700X only supports up to DDR4-2933. Most could do DDR4-3200, but some couldn't.

Have you tried setting the XMP profile and then, before rebooting, manually setting the speed to something lower, like 3133 or 2933, and then saving and exiting? This will keep the better timings, but set the speed to a value that the 2700X might be able to use.

I mean, is that really that far of a stretch? Unless China has a whole different standard but still calls them the same. TBH, whenever I wire up my stuff I just follow the keystone guides for B, and never question it or look too closely. Only when I'm crimping cable do I pay attention to a diagram, since I have a simple mind.
