Strange case request

Theguywhobea

I'm on the hunt for a kind of strange case by today's standard. I really like cases that look as close to like, a generic office PC as possible while still having decent internal mounting options.

My specific requirements:

Fits ATX motherboard

Has an optical drive bay

Can fit a 240mm radiator (preferably in the top)

Absolutely no side windows, RGB, tempered glass. Closest thing I have found so far would maybe be an Antec P10 Flux, but I'm not a huge fan of the bare slab front.

So you want a case that's as plain as possible, except the front of the P10 Flux is too plain?

Not really sure what you think an "office PC" looks like.聽

Maybe the Fractal Core series?

That thing has floppy drive bays. We need to distinguish between modern office PC's and office PC's from 20 years ago.聽

I personally like the Fractal Design Define 5/7 for basic looking computer with no flash. But really good expandability. However, it might look a little too modern if you're going for a sleeper build.聽

Define R6 as well, has the CD slot, closed front, solid side panel, and mesh top (or closed, with cover).

Yeah I have been looking at that case. Not a massive fan of front panel doors, but realistically this seems like it might be the only case you can buy new that is checking all my boxes.

At least with the 7XL you can actually remove it to expose the 5.25" bays and the fan filters. I can remember if the same goes for the smaller ones:

Disregard the glass panel, was just the first google image I found showing the front of the case with the door open.

Same!

Fractal's pop Silent cases have the ODD bays at the bottom

Pop_ATX_Silent_Black_Sheetmetal_1-Front-Left-540x540.jpg

Obviously the silent series is going to be more restricted on airflow than the Air variant, But I think Fractal is one of the only manufacturers in the last calendar year still producing new cases with ODD bay areas.聽

have a budget for this?

a case that supports a 240mm rad on top with a 5.25" drive bay is going to kind of be a rare find with your other wants like solid side panel and good airflow.聽
