Windows:

Riva Tuner Statistics Server (comes bundled with MSI Afterburner) you can apparently also use it with HWinfo64 if you don't want to use MSI Afterburner.

Linux:

Mangohud

I often see videos on the channels and on other YouTubers that show the CPU and GPU being used and their performance numbers in the top-left of the screen. I’m wondering what program they are using to get these to display. If anyone knows, I’d appreciate if you would share how they do this.

TIA!

Do you have an example to jog our memory? A lot of the times you can enable this in game. Another option is through the windows Xbox stuff with the windows+g shortcut.

There are multiple programs I can think of, but there are probably many more:

- MSI afterburner (Just search google on how to set it up)

- FPS monitor

- XBOX gamebar

- Steam has a Framerate counter

- Geforce Experience has a Framerate counter

- AMD Adrenaline has a Framerate counter

The easiest way is to use MSI Afterburner along with RTSS (comes bundled with Afterburner)

This is probably the most common/popular one you see widely.

A relatively recent alternative is PresentMon. https://game.intel.com/story/intel-presentmon/

It has existed as a low level tool for a while but only just got a gamer friendlier UI. You don't need an Intel GPU to use it.
