if your power supply doesnt have the necessary connectors to plug into your GPU, it means it wasnt designed to provide the amount of power that your GPU was designed to consume.
 
if this'll work depends on if the GPU checks for it, how much power the GPU pulls, and how much overhead the PSU has... but it's just a bad idea in general, especially long term.

Well a 6800 is going to cost more and is going to be better than a 1080 ti (since a 1080ti trades blows with a 2070 super and a 6800  trades blows with a 3070 which on it self trades blows with a 2080) the 5700xt used to be worse than the 2070 super but with recent drivers it seems to trade blows with it (winning at some games loosing at some games both instances by just a few FPS)  and hence it will trade blows with the 1080 ti. 
 
So as far as equivalency goes the 5700 xt would be the closest option both in terms of performance and in terms of bang for buck (yes nowadays they are ridiculously expensive but so are the nvidia counterparts )

I'd still just clear cmos, if 4 cores were disabled in BIOS, there were probably some other settings that were changed and are interfering with performance. It's probably fine, but a cmos clear wouldn't hurt as long as you remember to reenable XMP

Thats more of a motherboard thing. Try resetting your BIOS settings or clearing the CMOS and see if it helps.

How? The 9700 is on a dead platform and lacks hyperthreading. 
I'd go for a 10400 or a ryzen 3600

Sound Blaster G5 has more software sound customization and just an easier interface. I have the Sound Blaster AE-9 and it is great.

Yep, that's what I'm thinking too about open worlds being CPU intensive and I honestly thought that it was a hardware issue which is why I opted to do test the CPU's health. 
I've included the Intel Diagnostics result for the CPU health and it seems it's doing alright. 
 
CPU/GPU temps are well within acceptable parameters based on previous testing. CPU/GPU usage during gaming is used mainly be the game running; Discord is the only background app. Discord's hardware acceleration option has been disabled since it does use more CPU power. BIOS has been updated to its latest available version. Did an intel diagnostics test on the CPU health and based on the results, the CPU passed. Xbox Game bar and the DVR has been disabled as well Brought the rig to a service center before and they gave the rig a greenlight for its components after doing a burn-in test. I'll look into your recommendations re resetting BIOS, RAM clock-speed and Ultimate Performance power plan.

Theres no way your CPU is running at 94 Celsius unless something is wrong with your pump, the block on the cpu, or the thermal paste. My 3800x running a 1.375v at 4.4ghz didnt break 87 degrees on a NH-d15, unless you are pumping more voltage than that.
