    The prices are wrong with your build, with pounds you still have 42£ left.
    and as Jurrunio said, the PSU isn’t the best and the 212 evo is old.
    here’s an “modified” build; (BTW, you could go for a 500Gb M2 if you don’t need that much storage and want faster storage)

    if you are planning to build, would recommend waiting for nvidia ampere and zen 3.

    but to give you an opinion, just get the 3700x and OC it, not worth paying the extra

    You're basically screwed. Try selling it on reddit might get most of the money back. Ebay is complete shit especially in the middle east and africa. try /rhardwaresales tho.

    I ran my 3700x on the same board for a couple weeks and it went fine.

    Edit: one thing to be aware of is that I had some issues with getting higher than 3000Mhz memory to work properly, so keep that in mind

    Totally agree on this one;
    Your cheap-ass PSU is going to give up on you fast, and if it ain’t the PSU it’s the dirt cheap OEM board in there.

    £300 can get you quite a good 2hand gaming system with a “gaming” motherboard, trustworthy PSU and upgrade options. But I’m just repeating the other guy.

    If you do go with just a GPU upgrade; 1030 sucks and has performance worse than a 750 ti. Since you’re buying used, a used 1650 is overpriced atm in my experience, so a 1050 ti low profile is the best you can get, if you want something lower priced look for a 750 ti low profile.

    Bobotie1 reacted to Bombastinator in Gpu not working, help
    I’ve had issues with older monitors and older cards combined with newer drivers and newer OS.
     Things that might or might not matter:

    the port type on the monitor.  There seems to be serious compatibility stuff with DVI. Hdmi seems reliable regardless but a lot less love is being lavished on dviD.

    Age of the driver.  I had a monitor literally just turn itself off on loading several times when I upgraded.  The generic video driver no longer considers itself compatible with my monitor for one thing.

    age of the OS build.  Win10 apparently has several versions and they don’t all work the same.

    An open case will always generate noise, and thus the reason I’d recommend closing it. Having the case fans is a better idea, since the extra temperature control will allow you to keep it cooler when needed, or, to have them very slow when not needed. This is however my opinion tho.
