ZzLy got a reaction from plzfix in will the 3300x or 3600 give me more fps on games
3300x. Here's a great video on this exact matter:

1. Invest in a bigger SSD instead of multiple ones.
2. Do you really need 32GB of ram?
3. X570 motherboard is overkill. Get a B550 one and your wallet will approve.
4. 750w power supply is overkill, 500w should be fine
5. You don't need an AIO liquid cooler unless you really need it to look cool.
6. Ryzen 3600 vs 3600x is a small difference. Get the 3600 instead
Then with all this saved money, get a better GPU.

ZzLy got a reaction from gloop in how to remove graphics card?
I often wonder how inexperienced builders always end up with such excessively high-end hardware.

ZzLy got a reaction from Tristerin in No post after installing 2 new fans
I don't think they should be doing liquid metal if they can barely even get the build to work, but oh well.

ZzLy reacted to corvoattano in CPU 90°C when idle
Yes its under warranty and if i cant figure out what the problem is i will probably send it to msi but i want to know if its something i can solve because it takes too long for them to repair

Did you buy it new? If so, it should be under warranty, I'd let MSI figure it out.

Reseat the CPU and clean its contacts on the underside. If the RAM functionality is spotty and the motherboard is blaming the CPU then it's probably the CPU.

ZzLy got a reaction from Detective in Ryzen 3700x Temps Reaching 60°-70°C While Browsing And Watching Videos
This is normal for Ryzen. Ryzen doesn't downclock during low usage like intel does, so it's always running at high speeds regardless of load, which produces more heat. Also because of the 7nm process used by Ryzen 3000 chips, the dye is physically very small so the heat is concentrated in a smaller point under the IHS, making these chips extra hard to cool, including under load.

ZzLy got a reaction from Senzelian in What happens if you run integrated and dedicated graphics at the same time
I've always wondered this. What happens if you plug two monitors in the PC, one in the motherboard and one in the GPU, and then opened a game and dragged it across the monitors? Well it turns out it just uses whatever GPU you first opened the game on.
In the video below, I opened Fornite (cringe, i know) on the left monitor which was hooked up to the RX 570 and then dragged it to the right monitor which was plugged into the iGPU and it kept running at the same framerate. I then unplugged the monitor from the GPU and even though the remaining monitor was plugged into the motherboard, it kept running at the same framerate.
Linus made a video where he used Mining-made GPU's for gaming by using a little trick to feed the GPU's output to the motherboard, but I guess this is just built into- and used by Windows by default?
If so, does anybody know how this could be manually turned on? This would be really useful for someone who has a GPU that works but just can't output an image on its own ports.

ZzLy got a reaction from HanZie82 in Upgrading very soon. I have concerns.
Just put the drive in the new system and it should install the appropriate chipset drivers automatically (assuming it's connected to internet).

ZzLy got a reaction from ImNotNeko in XEON E3 1245 V2 VS I7 2600
xeon should be just as fast, so buy the xeon. Also it appears that you might have left CAPS-lock turned on by accident.

ZzLy got a reaction from FirstTimePCBuilding in First build (day 2! new post, new section) (I need help)
Everything should work yes. Cooling is fine as it is, best you can do is buy a batter case that either looks cool or has good airflow, and perhaps add a harddrive.

160 usd seems a bit much for a 1080p panel. 27 inch could be fine, but it depends on how big your desk is etc.

ZzLy got a reaction from Hwulex in Budget non-gaming mini-ITX build
Ryzen is fine here. Also, Intel right now is not only bad because their CPUs have bad price/performance, but also because the 1151 socket is at its end of its life and the 9th gen CPUs were the last to be made for it, so basically you'd be investing in a dead platform.

Should work fine, just make sure you update the motherboard's bios first. Also the power supply is fine.

ZzLy got a reaction from Audrey1929H in Can I use a 6pin connector for my GTX 1660?
6 pin should be fine.

ZzLy got a reaction from Skellter in Motherboard with 8pin with psu with only one 4 pin.
It will be fine since that cpu doesn't need much power.

ZzLy got a reaction from Mardax007 in What to choose? R5 2600 or R7 2700X

ZzLy got a reaction from sl0011 in PC freezes, peripherals stop reciving power
Check if you don't have any overclocks that might be screwing with stability. Also, Even Viewer will always give errors and warnings regardless if it's relevant or not, so that is not a reliable source for diagnostics.

ZzLy got a reaction from Bombastinator in R9 3900X good upgrade from 5960X...?
The 5960x is definitely still fine for gaming.
