Op needs to mind their own business, and let those who actually has dyslexic decided for themselves if they felt offended or bullied or not.

I'm dyslexic and full spectrum color blind. I don't care at all about a joke. It's part of life. Stop trying to be the politically correct police and deal with your own issues. If it offends you, stop listening and go somewhere else.

Just like with tv, if you don't like it change the channel. I'm so sick and tired if this stuff.

@y0ur5h4d0w You can change the desktop environment without changing distros, so if there is something about the distro you tried you don't like, desktop hoping may be easier than full distro hopping.  Linux is very customizable and is one of the most fun aspects of using it.

Ehhh...fuck it, I bought one.  It's got free returns anyways so I wanna finger it a bit.  (I already have to drive to Kohls anyways to return something else)

Ironically it's being plugged into a 3.5 year old 7 Plus that I've had since launch, because the 8, X, XS, and 11 Pro didn't get my dick hard enough to bother upgrading.

More interesting I didn't know Powerline III was out.  30k bend test -> 35k bend test.  Anker does make the most solid cables.

Capitalize the words "gold-plated". There is just couple microns of gold in that thing and the amount of gold in money is worth cents.
At least with Lightning stuff, it's not a new thing to milk the sheeps 😂

The most enjoyable videos are the ones that don't (seem to) follow a script, like x somethings one CPU, the stuff that went into the server room, the construction videos about Linus' carcharger or the wireing of the LAN center, etc.

The point of my reply was that that's a terrible strategy, and even if it appears to have worked, it didn't. While Google may stop their own logging activities at users requests (or at the very least pretend to), they cannot and will not do anything that would prevent Intelligence Communities from conducting Bulk Collection operations on their systems.

Edward Snowden and bunnie Huang tested a phone to see which, if any, of it's features actually worked. They found that in modern phones, you can't even really turn off location services or WiFi. The report is titled "Against the Law: Countering Lawful Abuses of Digital Surveillance" and is available here: https://www.tjoe.org/pub/direct-radio-introspection

Because of that, A successful law suit may make it appear that Google has stopped collecting any GPS based information, but  that data will still be available to those who operate Bulk Collection systems.

It's not about labeling it's about being able to remember it while working on it, directly in the moment. What you're saying is equivalent to not being able to remember anyone's name while talking to them and hoping the name tag is on their shirt, yes I can look up the name but that is not work efficient.

It's a real issue, human brain limitation just because of the complexity of the address style, I'm not saying it's a reason to not use IPv6 but this actually is an issue and if you'd worked any time in supporting networks you'd likely be able to better understand what I'm pointing to.

    Edit:
And to be clear we have a central asset database and web interface, every device has an asset tag, every device has a friendly DNS name. It's not a labeling issue, it's not an IP address management issue, it's not a DNS issue, it's a memorization issue.

It's more about reported issues, looking at the address, going to the security team, what was that address again? afe56::2f53s:blah blah? forgot now??? grrrr. There's things I can just do with IPv4 addresses that I cannot with IPv6 and it's all down to memorization.

    Edit:
Like I legit know off memory probably 50+ servers IPv4 addresses, I know immediately looking at any IPv4 address what subnet and VLAN it belongs to and which building it is coming from or which security zone in the datacenter. IPv6 without the way we address them using the IPv4 address in it.... not a hope in hell of doing the same.

I have to work with networking all the time, knowing IP addresses come up just as much and is more important than the DNS name. IPv6 address are just a right pain, we deal with that by prefix of our IPv6 network address then suffix is the IPv4 address so all our IPv6 addresses are identical to our IPv4 addresses just with an IPv6 prefix in front of it, mental life saver honestly.

Nah, they'll just start double NATing everyone and everything possible whilst pretending they fixed the issue.
