You could probably pull OS drive. The point of fastboot is to bypass the option to get into BIOS

I mean... hardware shutting down cause it's overheating IS by design, but still could eventually hurt it.

Oh, I thought you meant the concept of the raid is slower; like how 1 is slower than 0 in it's very nature, not that it is slower because of the shortcomings of the controller.

That's "normal" and it is arcing inside. Don't do that, or try and do that. It's not normal for someone to try and hold a switch in between positions. It should be flipped on or off. You will mess up the contacts if you keep doing this.

In either case, take it back.

What game are you planning on doing? AOE is always a great game when you have people in the same room: put 5 humans against one "max difficulty" bot civilization and it's a great comradery builder.

shoutingsteve got a reaction from RevGAM in Why are argb fans different shade then the rest
It's more likely that the LEDS are manufactured to a lower consistency than the plastics.  You encounter it more so when you get LEDs with higher power or when you have lights near each other but in different temperature zones. (A RGB light near an incandescent will have a different color output than one that stands alone because the phosphors of the chip are activated under different stresses)

Wait, you formatted the drive to repair the filesystem? Formatting erases all files present on the drive; there's very little you can do now, unfortunately (Unless you want to shell out hundreds for a service like DriveSavers).
The error you are seeing in the event log has nothing to do with the drive issue, it's nothing to worry about.

The easiest and cheapest way will probably just be to wear the wrist straps that came with the controllers.  Wii had a problem with people throwing the remotes, pretty sure their OFFICIAL response was "wear the wrist strap properly."

shoutingsteve reacted to toasty99 in why intel and amd just combine multiple cpus into single big cpu?
    They do?

That's literally what AMD Ryzen was. AMD was took two CPU chiplets and used the infinity fabric technology (or as Intel called it at the time "glue") to put two separate CPU chiplets together.

AMD was able to scale this into AMD Threadripper and AMD Epyc.  On the consumer side, you're looking at two chiplets maximum. On Epyc, they have used as much as 12 chiplets.

Intel is trying their own version of this. Look up Level1 techs if you want a deep dive into it but the tldr is that Intel is going to try using a tile structure to seperate different parts of the CPU.

this isn't the same one, but it is very similar to mine.  Just a small TV mount.  Be sure to use decent drywall anchors when you mount it.

shoutingsteve reacted to akat in I'm setting up my first server. How should I setup my storage?
You could have all 8 500gb drives in raid 5 (good read for plex, subpar write, not sure if it'd be good for MC), then use something like proxmox and boot it off a USB drive (dell servers typically have a usb port on the mobo).

I would aim a little higher if I were you.  Although I am now an old man...  I bought a set of really great speakers about 20 years ago and they still serve me well.  Speaker technology doesn't move very fast, plenty of speakers built in the 70's and 80's are still in peoples homes and sound great.
I bought Klipsch Speakers.  These aren't the ones I own, but they are a great model for a guy (or girl?  I don't know you) on a budget.

certain subnets are not for home use
In April 2012, IANA allocated the block 100.64.0.0/10 (100.64.0.0 to 100.127.255.255, netmask 255.192.0.0) for use in carrier-grade NAT scenarios. This address block should not be used on private networks or on the public Internet.

    RFC 1918 explains that better.
The whole IPv4 Internet do not use these addresses.

Yes and no. Your current problem is that you don't know to translate your project in realty.
But your "example" is not suitable to be translated in reality, due to the subnet for Flat 1 and Flat 2 that should not be used.
"It's not the same" enought... because it will work anyway (sort of)... but at some point a lot of things won't work. Like reaching Microsoft or some organization part of United states government.

    Now.
UDM pro, and switches on both flats need to "know" all the VLANs involved, otherwise transport won't work.
For SFP Ports, all VLAN should be tagged.
On rest of the ports of Switch at Flat1, only VLAN for flat 1 should be untagged on all remaining ports and VLAN for Flat2 needs to forbidden.
On rest of the ports of Switch at Flat2, only VLAN for flat 2 should be untagged on all remaining ports and VLAN for Flat1 needs to forbidden.

then it's time for some firewall rules... between ... subnets. For firewalling, VLAN, WLAN, WAN... it's all the same. Simply subnets, no matter what.
NO ONE can access to switch management or management server from FLAT1 and Flat2.
Call a network specialist. Can comb networks anytime you need 😉

This is all volunteer work. Sometimes being picky is considered... unpolite.
