Vulkan HeStan reacted to Cash in Gamers Nexus alleges LMG has insufficient ethics and integrity
Yeah, I'm pretty disappointed in Linus' response to this situation. All he had to do was be honest, apologize, and talk about what they are going to do to prevent this stuff moving forward. The gaslighting is not a good look.

contacting linus personally, and resolving it quietly. is the exact opposite of "proper journalistic practices", what an absolute narcasistic arrogant buffoon

Vulkan HeStan reacted to LAwLz in Desktop GPU sales hit 20 year low, 42 percent fewer than last year.
I wonder how many read the articles regarding this, vs just jumping to conclusions based on their preconceived notion about the situation.
People are spending less time at home so as a result, fewer people are buying gaming stuff.
With ever increasing inflation and many people having unsure financial futures, people are less likely to spend money on frivolous things like gaming.
This is happening across the industry, not just Nvidia and their gaming graphics cards.
A large amount of people bought computers at the start and during the pandemic. As a result, the sales are no longer as spread out.
There are several other factors at play as well, and this is not something that is exclusive to the GPU market.
It's very rare for such a big change to the market to be caused by a single thing. It's a very complex system with lots of different variables.

Vulkan HeStan got a reaction from da na in Binging chat – Microsoft to challenge Google by integrating ChatGPT with Bing search
I've had the misfortune of using Bing because it's the default search engine for Edge
Bing's problem is it's full of pop-ups and features, the UI is cluttered and barely usable, compared to Google, even by Google's rather slack standards today
Microsoft need to remove things from Bing, not add them, if they want people to even consider using it

Vulkan HeStan reacted to Dukesilver27- in Is 8GB of RAM really as bad as its seeming on my machine
10 browser tabs is a lot, it will eat up RAM even if it is firefox.
So yes, it is normal.
The average user don't have 10 browser tabs open at the same time, so 8GB is still okay. My work laptop only has 8GB, and it is doing just fine for office use.

Hey guys, I'm new to the forum and recently made a graphic design study project imagining what it could be like if LTT had an esports team. I hope you enjoy it!

Vulkan HeStan reacted to Fasauceome in Upgrade i5 9600k
well you would be able to use a 9900K with no issues, getting one used would be ideal if you manage to get a decent price.
Otherwise for new parts, a Ryzen 7 5800X would be a lot better from a price to performance standpoint
Ryzen 7
Core i9
and alder lake processors would also be a good comparison. Such as the 12600K mentioned above.

Vulkan HeStan got a reaction from Valentin17 in Upgrade i5 9600k
The best CPU for your socket is a 9900k, although it's over 3 years old now. An i5 12600k is a good choice, which motherboard you choose depends on whether you want to keep your DDR4 or DDR5

Vulkan HeStan reacted to Commodus in Grammar question
None of the above!
It's a confusing sentence regardless of the option you use. "And stuff..." are you referencing an abundance of specific other things, or is this the "stuff" catch-all people use when they want to hint at a variety of other items while staying vague? If it's the former, you can write "there were many people and books" (or whatever the other subjects are). If it's the latter, you can drop either the "many/a lot of" or "and stuff" sections (and preferably use a noun more specific than "stuff"). If your goal is only to highlight how many people there were, for example, you can just say "there were many people."
This is how you fine-tune your writing skills: be clear about your meaning and avoid fluff. I could write a whole treatise about the evils of padding sentences with "be able to."

Vulkan HeStan got a reaction from Doowni in Should i upgrade?
That's a fine pc. The i5-9400f is a 9th gen CPU and still very capable
Personally, I'd wait for DDR5 to become more affordable/mature if the CPU/RAM is what you're most concerned about

What driver did you install?

Vulkan HeStan reacted to Imbadatnames in Formula 1
He beat a sandbagged alonso. The same alonso that left because of the blatant favouritism towards Hamilton.
That “dog of a car” that was still at worst a close 3rd best car? He’s never been in a car that wasn’t competitive. Schumacher WON the WDC in a Benetton that was at most the 4th best and then won races and was competitive in probably the worst Ferrari ever built amongst other insane BS accomplishments.
He placed 4th, 5th and 4th. Button at least got a 2nd.
He’s not successful the car is. Put every driver in the Haas for a fastest lap and he’d come around 10th. Winning WDC in an era with no competition and the best car by a country mile means FA.
