71c on an Overclocked 5700x is not unreasonable.
seems fine.

Everything looks good to me here. May want to peel that sticker off the side panel. I just wanted to make there were no odd things going on. You could run fans speeds a little higher to lower temps, but I would not worry about it. I value silence over 2 degrees difference.

jake765111 reacted to Hinjima in Is my h100i AIO mounted incorrectly?
71c is still pretty good temp even with that AIO, the overclock definitely increases the temps. Its still way withing spec and safe range so nothing to worry about. The CPU will always be higher temp than the coolant in short bursts or in general gaming, there is a heatspreader and the copper block on the pump in the way soaking some heat too. All good here 🙂
The lower the coolant temp, the better it will cool the CPU so you want low coolant temps 😄

Yes. That is where I tested the voltage. It’s a 6 pin

jake765111 reacted to Electronics Wizardy in OS with controller support
steamos is basically steam big picutre on debian that runs at bootup.
I don't know of any distros that natively support controlleers. You can use programs that make it work like a mouse and keyboard on any os, but it won't be a great experience.

jake765111 reacted to tim0901 in OS with controller support
SteamOS is basically dead at this point. It's been over 14 months since its last update.
Your best bet is probably software like Gopher360 - which allows you to use an Xbox controller to navigate around Windows. There might be one that's been updated more recently than Gopher if you hunt around.

https://sdi-tool.org
It's not the most user friendly, but it has been the most reliable for me. And sometimes it finds some drivers that don't install or work well, but those are usually some weird USB or NIC drivers. So, you kinda have to be selective with everything that is displayed to you. It provides System Restore point creation which is smart to make before actually updating drivers. Been using it for several years now and it's pretty useful, especially to update my old X99 platform with chipset drivers that are really difficult to manually install by digging them from Intel's webpage.

You could probably set your boot order in bios

You might be able to setup software to stream the audio but I don't know how to do this and it might be delayed.

jake765111 got a reaction from SooWhat in Crashing because of a bad hdd?
Tiking is normal. Mine used to do this. I upgraded to an SSD and it may have fixed my problem. Have you done any OC on your CPU or GPU? I would up the voltage just a slight bit. Try one ram DIMM and if it happens again to try another. One could be bad. Reseat your CPU.
There is a lot of things that could cause this sadly.

If you have a USB install disk you can normally roll back. If you have one you should try this. If you need help with file recovery I can walk you through the steps if you message me.
I would recommend trying this -

safe mode?... -
"The problem — as many people have experienced — is that the Start menu can sometimes lock, which means its Power option is unavailable.
Less straightforward still is restarting in Safe Mode. Simply restarting in Safe Mode alone, where only the most essential parts of Windows are loaded, can be enough to fix some glitches, but the usual [F8] key method no longer works — it’s been disabled to speed up boot times." - https://home.bt.com/tech-gadgets/computing/windows-10/how-to-restart-windows-10-and-whatever-happened-to-safe-mode-11364000631724

Any overclocks? What are your temps - 90W is not a high wattage for a card. It sounds like your card is over heating

This is what I was going to suggest.

Sorry i forgot to post on here to. Problem was fixed something wrong with my "game ready drivers" was messing with everything. After removing them everything has been working fine. I don't know why this would cause everything to stop working and stuff to black screen. But that's the only problem I was able to find.

jake765111 got a reaction from Speed Weed in Coumputer crashes and reboots underload.
My pc crashes under load while playing a game such as Fortnite. It work longer when I have lower settings. My temps are all low. Is this a GPU problem or PSU problem.
How should I fix this?
