So I upgraded my motherboard and I lost my windows 10 pro and it says I need to activate it again, but it costs money. How can I get it back. Plz help ty.

Normally, The key will be on the side or bottom of the pc if you bought it. Look for it. Is this PC custom?

If you signed into the PC with a Microsoft account before the swap and verified your account within settings, you should be able to essentially replace the old mobo pc within your microsoft account with the new mobo pc and activate it.

 

So did you sign into the PC with a Microsoft account prior to swapping the mobo?

Retail or OEM key? Is the connected to your MS account?
