It's quite a bit more more than I had initially wanted to spend but as you have have suggested I have decided to go with a mesh system.

I've gone with asus so I can use aimesh. For my primary router/modem I went with the ax86s and for my access point and satellites I went with the xd4 minis.

3060 at 4x you might be able to get away with without losing performance. With the 3070 I think you would definitely see a noticeable drop

Hello I'm interested in building myself a custom keyboard my only problem is I only know the basics and I'm overwhelmed with choice and I don't know what's good or bad.

The keyboard I want has to be 80% or bigger and have hotswap because I can't solder. It can't cost over £200 aswell.

Edit. I can figure out what key switches I want it's just the other stuff that I'm struggling with.

For me qd-oled gets rid of all the drawbacks I hate in other panel types such as ghosting and ips glow.

Thank you very much, those screws look identical to the ones in my meshify s2.

I know you weren't though I have done some stupid things. One time for what ever reason I thought I didn't put enough thermal paste on after mounting the cooler. So I went through the effort of unmounting it, and of course it was fine.

You're off by a hundred points that's nothing. I bet if you where on a clean install of windows with nothing on it, it would perform better.

If your graphics card was dead your screen would be black. Try doing some trouble shooting steps like re installing drivers and checking temps and clock speeds.

You want your graphics card to be at 100% otherwise your wasting performance.

When you say overwatch runs at 60fps is it capped to that or is the framerate unlocked? If your framerate is unlocked your card will spit out as much frames as it possibly can unless you cap the framerate your gpu will be at 100% in any game even at low settings

The definition of "computer" is something along the lines of "a computer is a device to carry out logical operations in binary" so computers are just numbers.

I do see your point though computers are a great way for customization. I'm not going to say I haven't bought rgb products and hate all of them because I would be lying. I prefer performance over looks so if I buy a product that doesn't sync with my other stuff so be it it's not that big of a deal to me personally but that's me .

The dell xps 15 is a bad laptop though. It overheats in every config it comes with except for the lowest end unit that one BARELY stays cool.

The asus g15 2021 (with ryzen 5000 and rtx 3000) would come the closest to what you want. Just keep in mind to NOT get the 2020 ryzen 4000 version as that one is utter crap. The g15 specced with a 3070 should do ok in 4k gaming.

Edit: 4k is USELESS on a small 15 inch screen you simply cannot see the difference between that and 1080p unless you are sitting extremely close to the screen. So don't waste you money on marketing fluff. Also 4k screens take more power to drive so they automatically make the battery life worse.

There may be differences in cooling and just overall performance or quality between different AIB models, but unfortunately, it takes a while for reviews to get filled out there, especially when they're generally hard to come by.

If it's the same price or cheaper, a 3070 Ti is a better buy than a 3070, but it's not at virtually any amount more than a 3070. Of course, there might be a reason it's the same price or cheaper (worse cooling or quality). It's hard to say what the best option is. That said, performance in games, save for a few FPS here or there, is virtually the same, so you can't really make a bad choice.

As always, you pick the gear that gets the most chicks 😞

I'd do performance first, so keep the Ti.  It performs marginally better and you said it's cheaper.  Plus, I think you'll pull higher quality chicks with it than vs the OC.  Quality over quantity.

You have to keep checking the nvidia website, when stock is available they change it to "Check Availability" and will link you to something unique on scan.co.uk to make a purchase.  They do drops at random times during the day, so it's very hard to get hold of them.

Smackaroy reacted to xg32 in Why do good HDR monitors cost so much compared to other HDR screens
this discussion actually reminds of a black friday more than a decade ago, bestbuy had a 32inch lcd tv for sale at 200dollars (that was very cheap at the time), there was a display model on the shelves and i legit couldn't tell the difference between blue and green, it was all a jumbled mess, but of course people bought it up within 5 minutes like it was a steal, carrying it out of the store like they won something. Low end high volume still make the most money.

The monitor market is so segmented that the only safe play is to mass produce cheap monitors. Cutting edge tech might not even be worth it, that's why i appreciate the x27 despite its problems (The FALD haloing and fan takes some mental gymnastics to ignore it's already discontinued for miniled, which still has to halos, but i doubt it's a dealbreaker for most).

When it comes to high end monitors/TVs, it's really hard to sell enough at a high enough price people are willing to pay for vs just mass producing low-end, or market low-end products in a way that can sell at a premium.

Good HDR monitors takes actual innovation/risk to produce, In hindsight it wasn't worth it for LG to stick with OLED at all (they lost billions vs QLED iirc). I've had about 3 Samsung TVs and 3 or 4 LG TVs over the years (including a first gen led and first gen oled ❤), Even if i include the 6 NEC 2 LG and 2 Asus monitors, it's still only the samsung models (i know it's still a small sample size).
