Not everyone has a microcenter though, so actually finding a 3070Ti is going to be difficult for most people.

But kind of ironic Linus mentions that a 3070Ti founders card can't be found, yet he actually recommends it. 

With how screwed up the GPU market is, and if you want a new GPU badly enough to pay the inflated prices, then buy what you can find.

Yeah. Not sure what is so incredibly difficult to comprehend about this. It's 3070 Ti FEs that are MIA. There are partner 3070 Ti cards available. Everyone knows this. You aren't discovering something new.

Yea but 3070ti is still good deal if you can find it in Micro Center at MSRP now lols. $600 for a 3070ti. heck yea.

Ofcourse they exist, im looking at 3070 Ti's for basicly slick and nothing at 760$ but my car decided to say "f you".

Well yeah if you can get one at MSRP a 3070Ti isn't a bad deal. Although a 3080 at MSRP is $699, I would rather get a 3080 for the extra performance and VRAM.

Yea ideally but as you've seen from Bitwit's video, there are 3070ti in stock but 3080s are nowhere to be seen. So let's be real. Not sure how much microcentre are selling those 3070tis, hopefully not scalper price.

But that's not a founders edition. The only cards that they are talking about being rare are the founders editions made and sold exclusively from nvidia. 

This card specifically. Not evga, not msi, not any other brand. Just nvidia.

With how screwed up the GPU market is, and if you want a new GPU badly enough to pay the inflated prices, then buy what you can find.

I’m not sure what parts OriginPC is using but, they list the 3070Ti at a price higher than the 3090.

It's more work to google a picture of a product in the age of the ubiquitous smart phone era we are in. Takes less time to take a photo with your phone and then post photo using app of your choice for the platform you're using. All buying/selling platforms have some form of ability to insert images taken from your phones' camera.

This is EXACTLY why the card exists (on paper it exists lol)

 

Its basic marketing, if you go into an ice cream shop and they have 3 sizes S, M, L the M is priced slightly lower than the L but a lot more then the S. most people will say the S is too small and want a M but with it being so close to the price of a L they usually get a L. These stores sell an insanely low number of M and most of the sales are either S or L with the majority being L.

 

Its the same with all these GPU variants Nvidia releases the M is ok but priced in a manner to make people more likely to buy the L (3080). AMD does the same thing but they tend to not release nearly as many variants of their car per generation as Nvidia does. But the same logic applies make the 6800 the L and a 6600/6500 the S and nobody will buy the 6700 because its priced so close to the 6800. Now in the current market of not being able to buy any GPU this is kinda a moot point and most people will buy whatever they can get their hands on but its still basic marketing.
