um, no?

some screws might be similar either in threads on the screw or size of the screw.

lenght can also be a concern, really depends on the screws and case. some might be similar but only look different.

if you mean between cases, as in similar cases or the same one? same ones might be the same screws.

Depends.  Most cases use the same screws on the back, like HP, Dell, etc.

The thumb screws on side panels are usually the same diameter but can be different lengths.

These are generally the way it works but not set in stone.  You can always try them out, best way to find what works.

I always wonder things when you post, as you tend to mess with things for no real good reason, or worry way too much about things.  So what did you do now?

Every case I've worked with used #6-32 screws everywhere. Certain components use different screws, like 2.5" drives use M3 screws, and case fans are often mounted with some course self-tapping screws. Some motherboard standoffs also use M3 screws. But other than that pretty much everything is usually #6-32.

I did nothing. I was just wondering if case fan screws where universal, because the case sometimes doesn't come with enough for the amount of fans I want.

Yeah sorry I get extremely paranoid about my technology. I ask stupid questions that I normally already know the answer to. I quess I just ask them here to reassure myself,  it's like a coping method.

K thanks for telling me the names of the diffrent screws. I was only really thinking about case fan screws because sometimes the case doesn't come with enough for the amount of fans I want.

Cool, was more interested in some outlandish thing you did rather than bashing you 🙂

Honestly I have a boatload of extra screws just from buying cases and motherboards and parts over the years.  Though I do think those "kits" on Amazon for a few bucks are worth it.  I'd grab one.

For example, these work perfectly in my Fractal Define R6 replacing the stock thumbscrews for the glass panel and match my lighting even...

and I'd nab this if you plan on doing a lot of builds...

Thank you very much, those screws look identical to the ones in my meshify s2.

I know you weren't though I have done some stupid things. One time for what ever reason I thought I didn't put enough thermal paste on after mounting the cooler. So I went through the effort of unmounting it, and of course it was fine.
