Dude, that's some MIGHTY NICE integration with Discord and other platforms. Did someone on the Linus Team do that custom or is it part of Invision?

Edit: Nevermind, just saw the previous post about this, my bad.

If I verify with my phone number, will it make it public to anyone? I don't really care if the LTT admins see it, but I kind of don't want everyone else to be able to see it. My assumption is that it's not publicly available, but better safe than sorry.

Personally as a developer who does sometimes need to work on the web frontend side of things I really wish MS just did not bother with making a browser and left it to those who understand standards:

Chrome, Safari and firefox are all in general rather good citizens. yes, Edge is much better than IE but it is still nasty and has some very MS style edge cases.

People using overclocking, operating systems, multi-tasking, emulators, 120 FPS, etc. as an argument here are obviously not very familiar with these consoles target markets and what does and doesn't matter to your everyday console purchaser.

If you think the guy buying a Playstation 4 on Black Friday to play FIFA and Minecraft could give a shit about emulators of 120 FPS you're mistaken.

They're different devices, with vastly different core demographics (though there is SOME overlap)... They just happen to run the same games, that's about it.

The only real correct answer as of today is "We don't really know"

No amount of random articles, or contrarians arguing with said random articles, is going to change the fact that beyond a handful of studies, there's little concrete evidence backed in fact that can unequivocally support one side of the argument or the other.

You have studies? Great. Show me 10 or 15 identical ones with a similar starting hypothesis and end-result and we'll talk. Oh, and none of them can contradict each other in any way. Make sure they all use the same control and testing methodology as well.

As of now, I've read a total of abut 8 and in addition to wildly varying testing methodology, they nearly all contradict each other in some way or the other. The idea of the scientific process is rooted in testing and re-testing a hypothesis and getting consistent results that stand up to scrutiny. That hasn't happened here yet, sorry, a study does not equal a scientific fact, or even an accepted truth, it takes hundreds, maybe thousands of them before that can happen.

You want to instantly dismiss these articles completely? On what grounds? What makes you more correct than the people that have researched this thoroughly? True, the results vary in consistency and have thus far failed to establish convincing evidence, but they're trying and using due scientific process at the very least. Don't be contrary for the sake of being contrary.

Sorry op. You'll have to wait at least a few years before there's a decent answer worth considering, as of now, looks like it's devolved into this petty little forum feud with the same few people embarrassing themselves in a loop.

Like you said Nintendo likes lawsuits if it even slightly looks like their product, althrough if it'd come that far I'd strongly disagree since they isn't even close to the same deal/concept. It just happens that the control unit is split in half.

You can use the DVDs to store videos in DATA mode, as regular files. You can also store files bigger than 4 GB (up to 8.5 GB).

They don't have to be MPEG-2 encoded.  Use MPEG4 AVC (h264)  and save them with the MP4 extension. If they insert the DVD into a bluray player or Xbox or PS4, they'll probably play just fine. On a regular DVD player, they won't play.
It could work but you'd need to have a big warning :   "This is NOT a DVD Video disc. This disc will not play in your DVD player."
MP4 files will work on Macs , iPhones, iPads etc ... they just have to shove the DVD in the PC and then transfer them through wireless or whatever on their preferred devices.

If you want, give me a link to one of your videos (as high quality as possible) and I'll show you what's possible with h264 (h264/mpeg4avc is the codec in bluray discs, and supported by pretty much everything these days)

ExFAT totally! When I distribute physical media, I format in ExFAT or rarely FAT32, never NTFS, since it doesn't play nicely with Mac, and never AFPS or macOS Journaled, since those don't play nicely with Windows or Linux.

Since you asked, Microsoft paid for our travel down to the studio, our time filming the video, our time editing the video, the right to suggest some Xbox specific talking points within the video, and a 90 second cut of our footage from the studio tour for their own use.

That’s a fairly typical scope of work for a sponsored projects like this, but many of them also include #Ad  social posts on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram etc.

That’s probably more detail than most creators would feel comfortable giving their audience, but I believe in transparency so that when you guys see a post on our Twitter where we say “hey the Xbox One X is a really great gaming experience”, you’ll know that that’s our opinion rather than something that’s been paid for.
