its only 100 bucks and u get full 4 lane NVME great deal and its corsair so there shit is good.

if this is a gaming machine, 8 cores from a 9900k will melt the 16 from a threadripper. Threadripper only makes sense in budget workstations and when going for the full fat 32 core option.

The real question is why are using a HDD as your ONE AND ONLY drive for your PC. U boot from it, u store your backup shit on it.
 
My dude an SSD costs like 20 bucks at 120gb. U use that for your OS boot and make a folder for important backups like tax docs, passwords, logins, etc. U can then change where your PC saves things which is pretty easy. 
 
U shouldn't have been using a HDD for anything but backups way back in 2017 now its even more paramount u switch. I mean come on u lost most of your shit because of it. Perfect time to switch don't ya think............

So for future reference and others looking for a solution to show your mp3's in a playlist view as u likely want them to show here's how to do it:
 
Click the View tab on the top of VLC media player then click the Playlist option It should now open up a more advanced menu which shows u (Playlist, My Computer, Devices, Local Network, and Internet) Your now done  
If u don't wanna see that waste of space of advanced options every time tho u can remove that. Here's how: Hover your mouse over the black line right next to the scroll bar for the advanced menus I mentioned above. U can now adjust the width of either the playlist window or the Advanced menu window. Meaning u can slide it to the left to remove the advanced menu window entirely.  
I appreciate the attempt @_Syn_. Either way it was solved and I probably wouldn't have solved it if u didn't make me try something to which I then kept trying random things to see what would work. 
 
And I got it eventually. Which is sick, cause now others can use this to fix the same issue.

This is an actual refresh and will be similar in nature to when Ryzen first launched. By that I of course mean that it will upheave the industry a good bit from the stagnant piece of shit it was prior.

Ok so I'm doing a build for a friend of mine right.
His requirements are:
The build has a $400 USD budget for everything. (so every component combined) He wants a black case or dark grey That can fit under his monitor nicely  (so horizontally and with room to spare) And he wants it to feel "new" whatever that means from his old one.  
Micro ATX first Try:
 
So initially I thought alright I'll do a nice Micro ATX build seeing as those mobos are cheaper then mini ATX and the cases are pretty cheap too. So here's that initial list.
Turns out this case and a few other nice Sub $60 Micro ATX cases were to big for him and he wanted smaller. So I guess first question is "hey does anyone know of basically a SF case thats long enough to fit in the Micro ATX mobo with a stock Ryzen Cooler or if not is there a cooler that isn't expensive I could use?
 
 
Mini ATX second try:
 
Then I thought alrit I'll see if I could do a mini ATX build instead. Did some research figured out Mobos, cases, and SF PSU's are SUPER expensive for the same quality I could get with the above first List. Sooooo
At this point I'm actually considering getting him a damn prebuilt because his budget plus the size constraint is PROVING TO BE TO MUCH to handle. 
 
So I'm coming here to see if u guys can point me in a better direction cuz I'm about to give up and just get a shit used prebuilt slim tower, slap a 500gb SSD and be done with it. 
Would love to avoid this, cause I really wanna get this guy a NEW PC since he will be using it for the next 6-8 yrs easy.

Also for reference the guy I'm doing this for I've talked with him about this a good bit. And apparently his PC that is now over 6 yrs old isn't actually slow like at all to him, I can see it but he can't. For example it takes nearly a minute to boot from the HDD windows 10 is installed on and he thinks thats fast. Sooooooooooo
 
Another thought I had was to keep the CPU(He doesn't have a real GPU fyi only on board intel), Mobo, ram, HDD then throw away the case, and PSU. So that way I can spend a bunch on the case and PSU so he gets what he wants a SMALL PC that fits on his desk that looks nice.

You've heard that saying I'm guessing but if not then I'll add in what exactly I mean by it. So you mention how there are disadvantages and advantages right. Great thats the key bit here. For early tech there is always a trade off, there always will be honestly in some form or another. My point is that that sit is irrelavent all because we know it will be there. So if u get stuck on the little things here and there u will in the end say NOPE fuck it i'm staying in the past till it gets better. 
 
That is THE ISSUE u can't compare and contrast the new and the old I'm a fucking hard core techy believe me I fucking REALLY want to. But once u realize the greater  picture of how this shit fits together u realize that u can't do this anymore. I hate to say it but u honestly have to go in blind for the most part. Good point that is the thing I'm starting to notice. While yes Apple does have a plan or shit. It seems they are realizing these new technologies are taking longer then they wanted to. Because of this the transition to TRUE wireless shit isn't going as fast. Normally I would have expected this to happen within 4 yrs max.

I could be wrong but it seems as tho they are REALLY considering saying fuck it with "Wait till wireless power over the air" is ready. Which shows that even a Giant as Apple can make mistakes with there once perfect predictions. I mean its still right of course but not 100% as they pretended it would be. Lets hope they aren't stubborn and refuse to be proven wrong. But again IDK switching to Type C feels like a big step back. 
 
If we take that step then we will be stuck with that connector for how many more years as the engineers fiddly with there dicks doing nothing. Where as if we kept the market a fucking mess and then Apple came out with a glorious wireless tech that worked with everything. We would all switch to it and BAM WE DONE. But newsflash this reality bitch slapped Apple and showed them the world is WAY TO COMPLEX for such a simple plan like that to work. Since u know they planned for a REAL TRUE WIRELESS power solution and instead we got Airpower and on top of that they FUCKED that up and realized ohh shit this is basic bitch shit is hard too. 
 
 
Its honestly a weird time for the entire industry. We are in that state of wireless is good but not true wireless and to get there we would need to stop with the other bullshit and focus on True wireless fully. Idk I'm sorta losing my vision of how this will turn out.

For Samsung I respect there push to always try new things. They are the leader in there fields because of it, Apple and literally EVERY other phone brand sure as hell wouldn't have been able to develop OLED or EVEN good LCD screen without the amazing ground work and even further refinement they did to these screen technologies. 
 
 
I don't love or hate companies I respect what they do and if i do that then I buy there shit. Thats what every critical thinking consumer should do. But they don't hence the whole mainstream crowd. The problem is that I don't get a tool to dream about what the future will bring. I get a tool to use it. There's nothing complicated or high-philosophical about this, a phone is supposed to serve a purpose and that purpose is not to make people look forward to the days when wireless actually can replace wired.
 
And do understand, we're not close to wireless replacing wired. At all. We aren't even sure it ever will. Wired is inherently more reliable, faster, more efficient, and can carry power. That last one is huge for me, and we may well invent warp drive before we come up with a usable solution to it.

U should change your name man.

I'm using localized VLC, so if anything isn't excatly same, thats why. All files open, then File > Save Playlist to File (Ctrl+Y) > <filename>.xspf (the default). That file should show as VLC file, having VLC logo. If not, then you need to set its default program to VLC. Then you can just open that file by double-clicking on desktop.
 
Other formats should also work. I don't use VLC for music, I have that library on Foobar, so I can't give any further help confifuring that.

M3U and M38U are supported by more players. Like you can save playlist on VLC, and then open same file on iTunes or Android. There might just be a need to manually edit relative filepath. So that when playlist is opened, it defaults to folder playlist file is located.
