I think I figured it out. After reading your post, I realized I only installed drivers for ethernet and graphics after I reformatted my computer. I installed USB drivers and it started working again. Thanks!

I would like to get my mom the Lenovo T420. Reason being that she only has a tablet at the moment and I think it would help having a device that actually has a keyboard and a bit more powerful.

I always felt the "Historical game" part of the AC series should have stood on its own. The background sci-fi trope should have been left on the cutting room floor.
I absolutely loved AC1 except when it yanked out of the fun world into the "okay it's time for Dr. Horrible to ask you some questions." If they focused on the history and the rich content they can draw from, instead of using a crowbar to jimmy a huge overarching illuminati plot unto the subtext I think it would have been better. But that's just me.
Personally I think the entire series has been relatively steady in the core parts. Unity was only a mess thanks to some bad additions and poor port performance; as an AC game it is quite enjoyable and the setting is fantastic. Although the single sprawling city does feel like a huge step back after Black Flag.
AC 3 is very underrated, it's not as ambitious as Brotherhood (which is technically 3 but treated more as AC 2 Part 2) but it has a lot of excellent improvements and the actual historical storyline is very well done.
No matter where you start it is an excellent series even with all the flaws.
I'm reserving judgement for Syndicate until after it releases.

I really loved it and to be honest, this is probably one of my favorite games to play online.
I very rarely play online multiplayer games, but this one I always come back to.
 
It is fun. Plain and simple. Lots of action, explosions....and you get to pilot a F@$*&$& robot! It is amazing to me!
I usually hop online with my cousin and do a few matches. Never had a laggy game....never had a moment where I couldn't find a lobby.
I think this is a great game, and I am glad they hit the 10 million mark of....whatever it is they hit? (Post didn't really clarify what the milestone was)

Its actually very fun
But it doesn't have a campaign meaning I have no reason to buy it unless all my friends already have it.

Why do people play anything? They're fun and very deep with tons of replay value.

From what I've seen, it seems entering these 2 commands helps a bit with fps.

The game is still in alpha so it's very unoptimized. I get pretty poor fps as well.

Take a look at this. With powerline, there's minimal wiring so I think this would be ideal. Start around 3:45.

Alternatively you can use a powerline adapter. That way you won't have to run an ethernet cable but still have better reliability than wireless.

Actually when I first started up Windows 10, I was having quite a hard time with it. The graphics drivers weren't working and for some reason couldn't change the resolution at all. Had to restart a few times for things to start to work. Played around in it for a little bit before reverting back to 7.
 
Need to figure out an alternative for soundswitch since it doesn't seem to work in Windows 10. I know Displayfusion has that function built in but requires more buttons for activate it. In soundswitch I just used the pause/break button which was really convenient.
 
Also need to figure out if autohotkey works for windows 10. I have a small script for multimedia stuff.
 
Do you know if I do a fresh install, do I just input my old Windows 7 key or do I need to update to windows 10 first then do the fresh install? Do they give you a new key?
 
How are you finding the new start menu? When I first saw it, I thought it was a little confusing.
 
Overall, I have a bit of planning to do before I make the switch permanent. I'd also like to get a bigger SSD too.

I'm still adjusting to using alt... Must say 10 is WAY snappier than 7 and a little bit snappier than 8/8.1.

That's a bummer, I also have shortcuts bound to win + z,a,q,c. Guess I'll have to figure out another combination that works comfortably. Also soundswtich doesn't work on windows 10 which kinda sucks. I'm assuming you're also using Displayfusion. How do you find the experience in Windows 10?

It certainly seems so. The one time I got Nerfarian, my opponent conceded on turn 2. I guess I've just gotten lucky with Rag with an 80% win rate even though it was just 5 games. Looking forward to what they have prepared for us this week.

If I win this, I will finally be able to step up to a higher resolution monitor which I've been wanting to do for a few years now. It would be super awesome to be able to play games on a 3440x1440 and it would be great for movies.
