DualShock 4 Controller over bluetooth

Rovert19

Hi everyone,

So I recently had to reformat my computer and I'm having some difficulty getting my DS4 controller to work with my computer. I had it working before the reformat but I can't seem to get it going again. It's paired with the computer and the computer recognizes it in bluetooth devices but when I try to play a game, it doesn't work. Any ideas?

Thanks for the reply but that's not the issue. I was already using DS4Windows before. The issue right now is that DS4Windows doesn't seem to recognize the controller but the computer recognizes it through bluetooth devices meaning that even if I were using DS4Windows, the controller wouldn't work.

Anyone?? This is driving me crazy. The controller pairs with the bluetooth dongle successfully then disappears about 10 seconds later. This is really puzzling me because it was working flawlessly without any trouble before I reformatted my computer.

It's a no name bluetooth dongle. I don't recall using any drivers before when I had it working. Do you have any suggestions for drivers? It's really strange that it's not working now when it was working perfectly for 2 years before I reformatted my computer.

Forgot to mention, I actually got it to work last night but it stopped working again today sigh. I've been unsuccessful trying to replicate it.

@xGGAx It doesn't look like that, it's white with a little bluetooth logo.

I think I figured it out. After reading your post, I realized I only installed drivers for ethernet and graphics after I reformatted my computer. I installed USB drivers and it started working again. Thanks!
