Z690-A D4 is a good choice. Lots of IO and M.2 slots.
I made some other changes as well. IMO not worth the 50 quid to go from 3600 to 4000.... it is plenty enough. Changed the PSU to a better unit as well.

If you want Wifi6 and the latest bluetooth you'd have to look at the latest B550 chipset launches and the x570s chipset launches, because engineers typically design these boards months before they're announced, and they're designed with certain onboard hardware in mind...

But as others said, your motherboard is not great, but it's a good combination with your current CPU.  If the wireless is the only thing that bothers you, it would be much cheaper to just go for a pci-e wireless card and install it in one of the available pci-e slots.
You can find AX cards on Amazon and eBay for 30-40$, and they're more or less the same, it's just a card made by Intel which is put on a pci-e board which also has the connectors for antennas - the only differences between cards would be the quality of antennas shipped in the card's box.

Just get a WiFi card. You can find these on Amazon, no need for a brand name, with an AX210 WiFi 6E chip for $40 or so. AX200 would be under $30.

    As an example.

Not really sure why you would get a WiFi 5 card at that price... you can find plenty of Intel AX200 cards under $30 now....

To be clear, the scheduler in Windows 11 can determine which loads should be on efficiency cores and which on performance cores. If OP is using Windows 10, it can be a hit or miss, because Windows 10 doesn't understand that cores can be different.

On Linux, it sort of depends on the kernel version.

they get plenty of amd cpus, but nvidia gpus beig faster (and better in things like encoding and rt)are more common

amd sends out plenty of hardware...
amd cpus were only hard to get for about 3 months after r5000 came out, amd gpus are still hadrd asf to get

LTT has done plenty with AMD as well.

Price to performance literally doesn't matter in these showcase builds.

    Uh... no?

While the RTX 3090 and similar are slower than the RX 6900 XT, keep in mind RTX has... RTX and DLSS. Which people want, or they just like the NVIDIA brand.
Plus, in a lot of cases it's really not cheaper. The RX 6600 at retail costs more than the scalp price for an RTX 3060 where I live. Same with 6600XT/3060, 6700XT/3060 Ti, 6800/3070. Makes zero sense.

Somewhat, no, they do, no, yes/no, yes.

LienusLateTips got a reaction from The Blackhat in Corsair withdraws products from China after listing Taiwan as "country of manufacture"
    *LETS NOT DISCUSS POLITICS HERE*

    Summary
Corsair is a well-known tech company that makes cases, liquid coolers, and other parts, along with pre-built gaming PCs.
As with all manufacturers, they make their products in several countries, including China and Taiwan. However, due to the political situation, this is not always uncontroversial.
Due to listing the country of manufacturer on some of their products as "Taiwan", there has been large backlash on Weibo and other Chinese social media sites. This led Corsair to pull its products from the People's Republic, with listings going down on Taobao, Tmall, and JD. According to a statement by Corsair, they are "vowing against the recurrence of any factual inconsistency" but there are no plans to change it. A popular comment on Weibo said that Corsair was "eating your rice while smashing your pot."
Corsair has not commented outside of China.

    My thoughts
As a Taiwanese citizen, I cannot really comment without too much bias and political stance. But I think Corsair will suffer from both sides here; both anti-China customers refusing to buy Corsair products due to their kowtow and Chinese nationalists refusing to buy due to them not correcting the error. I will refrain from further comment because I am not trying to start an argument in the comments.

RAW performance > price to performance in most of these fancy / showoff builds. But if you actually watched Jay you would have seen that all three of the people on the team use an AMD system and Nick uses a complete AMD system (CPU + GPU). If you've checked on anything in the past couple of years AMD CPUs have always been king until the 12900K came about and if you actually watched the benchmarks you would see the AMD systems always lag behind the Nvidia cards.

LienusLateTips reacted to aisle9 in Is buying pre-built PCs close to / similar price now compared to building yourself?
It's a lot closer than it used to be, and with the price of GPUs, it's possible to find a prebuilt that costs less than a home build. Catch the right sale and you can get a whole PC for less than what the GPU inside of it goes for.

No, it's CPU limited, not a bottleneck. You'll always endlessly be CPU or GPU limited, all you can do is try to reduce it.

If you can get it at a reasonable price just go for the 1660 Ti and upgrade CPU later.

It's not a site I would be keen on getting involved in due to the bullshit they peddle.  (Go look at their "top videos" or whatever it's called.  They've got some /real/ winners.)

Build is fine, but I don't see the point of buying anything until you get the gpu. Using integrated graphics will be a huge step down from your laptop 2060, so I'd just get your other parts same time as your gpu. Depending how long it takes the parts will be cheaper and you can get 5600x or 5800x rather than 5600g.

I don't know the gpu situation over there but I wouldn't expect gpu 'deals' until September when new gpus likely come out.

I'm not a cable tech, but since that's a 4x4 modem, there could be some congestion issues... here in Canada the cable companies restrict anything above 75 Mbps to 16x4 or higher only.
