Budget (including currency): PHP 80,000 (Philippines) or approx. USD 1,565

Country: Philippines

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming (Warzone, Tomb Raider series, Skyrim, Fallout 4, other AAA titles), light video editing, productivity (legal profession)

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

I am planning on building an ITX PC and this will be my first time to build and own a PC. Right now, I'm using a laptop - Lenovo Legion 5 with Intel i5 10300H with RTX 2060 - that is hooked up to a 27in monitor. I'm also planning to do 1440p gaming if my specs are up to the task.

After a bit of research on what's available in my country, here's what I found to be the cheapest:

AMD Ryzen 5 5600G (PHP15,000 or approx USD 300)

ASRock B550 ITX motherboard w/ wifi and BT (PHP 7,700 or approx USD 150)

16GB DDR4 3600mhz TForce TUF RAM (PHP PHP 3,370 or approx USD 65)

1TB Crucial M.2 SSD (PHP 5,290 or approx USD 105)

Cooler Master Hyper 212 Black Edition (Spectrum) (PHP 2,345 or approx USD 45)

Cooler Master 650W SFX PSU (PHP 5,510 or approx USD 110)

Cooler Master NR200P White ITX PC Case (PHP 5,000 or approx. USD 100)

Arctic Case Fan *2 (PHP 850 or approx USD 16)

GPU: Colorful RTX 3060 White (PHP 34,095 or approx USD 665) (Since this GPU costs almost half of my entire build, I can use iGPU from 5600G while waiting for a good deal on GPU, right? But for sure I cant game at 1440p resolution)

What are your thoughts on this build? Also, will the Hyper 212 cooler fit in the NR200P?

Seem you really loves Cooler Master's product, but your build is perfect!

You're waiting for good deal on RTX 3060? Are you need some sleep n dream pills? You can just buy a RTX 1660 for... 250USD now that is 3-4x stronger than 5600G's iGPU.

But according to some forum, 5600G can gaming smoothly with high FPS without dGPU. Yes it does, but adding a dGPU can help you juice (not overclocking) more performance from your PC.

Build is fine, but I don't see the point of buying anything until you get the gpu. Using integrated graphics will be a huge step down from your laptop 2060, so I'd just get your other parts same time as your gpu. Depending how long it takes the parts will be cheaper and you can get 5600x or 5800x rather than 5600g.

I don't know the gpu situation over there but I wouldn't expect gpu 'deals' until September when new gpus likely come out.

I have a CoolerMaster case (mastercase maker 5t) and a coolermaster cpu cooler  (v8 gts) and my recommendation is to avoid anything Coolermaster like it was the plague or a typhoon.  The reason is because their product support is in the toilet.  In fact, they have no product support.  It is pathetic so if possible, avoid any of their products.  Just sayin'.

Good Luck.

I actually haven't had any experience on Cooler Master since this will be my first PC hehe but I've found youtubers use them for their builds and gave good feedback. Thanks for the advice on the choice of dGPU! But would the desktop 1660 be better than laptop 2060? Given that desktop 1660 would presumably also have higher TDP than laptop 2060?

I'm using Hyper212 on a 5600x right now, it's okay.
Not like 5600 series is a hot one anyway.
Mine is atx though so I don't know whether it will perform well in ITX case.

I'm from Indonesia, so yeah I know that other well known brand is more expensive somewhat in South-East Asia.
1660 Will be better than 5600G, but yeah, check your local pricing first.
In my country 1660 still cost kinda meh for it's generation. Like $500-$700 for non SUPER non TI version.
And your country isn't far from mine.

I don't think you can use Hyper 212 in NR200P though.

In my country at south east asia, plain 1660 from INNO is at $500 at least.
He's from Philippines, so it might not be $250 there.

Thanks! The noctua ones are a lot more expensive than CoolerMaster though. But I'll try to find a good deal.

Thanks a lot for these references!! I appreciate it. 🙂

I checked 1660 prices here and found than the nonsuper non Ti version costs around $400 and thr 1660 Super costs around $500.

I checked also one of Optimum Tech's build in his youtube channel and he was able to fit the Hyper 212 Black Edition (Spectrum) in the NR200P but only with the vented panel and not with the tempered glass panel.

Well, okay then.
As long you checked first.

If you feel it too noisy later you can buy more silent fans then swap it.
Since it mounts to the heatsink using a a wire clip (the one used in the video).
